i think that gforce23 is getting everything wrong, i dont think SE has showed the blue version.

Maybe it look a little bit blue in some photos because of the light around? My guess is that SE will release the silver first and then later on they will release the blue one. Just like they did with the T610

RealSpawn you mentioned "This is the ONLY thing most people want the memoryslot for. And the ONLY thing most people seem to find extremly important - that it can be used as mp3 player." Are you fcuked??!!! Take a look at the 465+ posts of people using their SE P900 for viewing videos on their phone via GPRS connection or MemoryStickDuo!! Also look a little father east to the land of the rising sun or their easterly neighbors where not hundreds not thousands, but MILLIONS of mobile users on i-Mode phones are using memory slots not just for music but MOSTLY for TV/Video content to save to/view from memory slots from/to their W-CDMA connection!!!

The proof is there. Those same people have MiniDiscs/iPods to listen to their music. In Europe, Canada, USA most people (guessing here based on my observation of market trends) that have a mobile phone don't also carry an mp3 player that holds a Hard-Drive everyday. Maybe a 256MB flash-player that is really small. IS anyone old enough to remember flash-based MP3 players were on the market for almost 9months before 64MB became affordable?? The 32MB players could hold a decent 12 tracks at 128/64kbps.

Music is nice to have as long as stereo headsets are used - good quality at that. BUt I'd like to know that I can put someone on hold - my wife - and she can listen to say "Strip for you" by R. Kelly while on hold via MP3. Just to be cheeky!

Games Is where I think that this 32MB would seriously be used. 3D games. Why didn't they have a Soccer game by default?? with Trezeguet, or Ronaldodhino, or even Pélé?!!! that would've ended all cellphone comparison hands down for 12 months!!!!

Am I f**ked ???

You know - when someone try to debate with me in that tone - I usually dont honor them with a reply - but I will make an exception in this case and give you one reply only because you seem to have completely missed my point.

I did not say there were no use for memoryslots in general on any phone.

We are not talking big screen w-cdma phones, we are not talking P900. We are talking specifically about the Nokia 6230 and the K700 - none of these phones are i-mode or w-cdma phones therefore talking about saving tv-video content is completely irrellevant as their are no tv-video content to save. None of these phones - and especially the Nokia in question - has screensizes that even makes it interesting to view videocontent at all if there were. When talking about the N6230 specifically - every person I have ever debated this with have only one argument for the memoryslot - and that is mp3 playing. On a N6230 specifically this is almost the only use there is for a memoryslot and the only thing N6230 lovers are argumenting. This is the point !!

What needs or use their may be on other types of phones or networks is completely irrelevant in this debate.

Furthermore I see no problem at all in S//E releasing the K700 without memoryslot - the K700 is a lowcost phone that allready has more than plenty great functions to make up for the low cost. If you really need memoryslot then pay the extra money and simply get for instance the S700 which furthermore has a larger, better screen much more suited for playing videocontent. Or wait for the next version K7xx/T6xx that will be released with memoryslot. You cant have everything for nothing in every model - there has to be something to differentiate the different models - or there would only need to be one model.

But like I said - if people want the N6230 or similar as a replacement for their mp3 player - then get one - I dont give a s**t - I just want a nice phone to make calls on.

I have nothing further to say to you.

It's been rumoured that the so called T650 will be released in September. Does that mean it will be announced by SE? Or does it mean that it will be released for sale?

A little bit off topic, and i dont know if this question has been asked before. But; does anyone know how much the K700 would cost? Its seems to be a much better phone than all other previous SE phone released and i am really interested in buying one; it would really be nice if anybody has a rough estimate on how much will it cost so i can start saving for it. THANKS.

---guilty admission---

I have a n7250, I bought it before the t610 was on the market.

Anyway, it has 5mg memory and a shitty little 352x288 camera. And the memory on my, and my gf's phone is full. Half a dozen games, 150 odd photos and that's it.
If you are lucky enough to have a K700 in your hot little hands, I think you are going to find it very easy to fill 32mg. For one thing 150 photo's will take about 10mg, video clips could easily take the same and then the space on the phone is going to start to be quite squeezed before you even start thinking about mp3s.
Lack of expandable memory in the phone is going to disappoint people more than any other feature. Well, that's how I see it.
