I finally managed to get my T68 upgraded at EMTS in Stavanger here in Norway.

Macjedi: it's just across the street of Oljemuseet. Go get it!

It's a totally new phone now. Hope everybody else can get their upgrade done today. Good Luck everybody. It was worth the wait.

I just called ABB installasjon in Gjøvik(Norway) and asked if they could upgrade my phone to T68i. The guy said "hmm..yes, well I just received an e-mail about an upgrade. But I think it is T68m you will get, not T68i". I then explained him that the T68i was the new one etc.. He said ok, and I could try to show up tomorrow and upgrade my phone.
Is this a serious place? I know someone 50km away(Nordy on lillehammer) who can do the job. Would it be better to let them do it, or?

thanks

Here in Oslo, it is impossible to get the upgrade. None of the EMTS-stores (3 stores) got it, and I have tried 2 other SP too, the result:

5 SP's that couldn't give me the upgrade! This sucks!!!! I hope I have better luck tomorrow...

From what Ive understand its possible to upgrade the phone.
The SP could download the SW as I understands it, and then upgrade the phone from the downloaded version.
While on Online Upgrading is closed. But it seems like they still could download the new SW and then do a "local" upgrade!

Or am I completely wrong Cytech?

Hi,

I had a look at the EMMA page and it clearly says that you can use the EMMA server as you normaly would the only restriction is some online support for the EMMA installation itself (a utillity). So if the SP reads this as if it is not possible to flash phones they have missunderstood this. The only questionmark now is if they have actually pulled back the conversion file from the server. If they have then you would not be able of to make the conversion of course (if you did not download the flash file yesterday when it was clearly availble. It seems also to be some email out from SE about the release maybe this letter tell the SPs that upgrading should not be done until tomorrow.

Cheers...and no problem with my 19 hours old T68mi...

I think it is possible, but you know those people who works in the SP... Not really high qualiified staff... I think the average knowledgelevel about mobilephones and accessories are way higher here on this forum than out there at the SPs!

Tomorrow will be MY big day... (hopefully...).

@wapmanse:

As I wrote earlier:

Called SE Norway and they said that the upgrade will be "officially" out tomorrow May 29. But they also knew that some SP had access to the upgrade... But tomorrow, May 29, is the OFFICIAL releasedate!

Try this on for size:

http://www.mobil.se/nyheter/visa.asp?id=5171&sid=1

It says that here were only a few phones upgraded yesterday before a problem occured in the "upgrading system"..??? But now it has been fixed according to a SE official...???????0)

Well when will this story end...and how?

Cheers!

I've just been at an SP here in Berne, Switzerland. I could see with my own eyes, that he did an Online-Update, and all that EMMA offered for my T68 was the "T68m EU2 (de/en/fr/it)" Software. No MMS...
What am I/is he doing wrong?
HELP! I want that update, too!!!!

The online upgrading is closed!
He needs to download the SW first and then upgrade your phone from a local computer - if Im not wrong!
