I just had the thought that I could make landscapes out of lego bricks. That might be quite cool. Im not sure where I'd stand with copyright issues though.
I'd imagine as long as the blocks don't say "LEGO" on them you should be fine.. its not like they're the only "building block" maker.. (even if they are the best heheh

Good point! Building Block levels are back on then!
I'm working on a couple of cool things for Soldier Ants at the moment. First, I decided not to put the trash levels together by hand. Instead I'm writing a Windows Soldier Ants map editor. So soon I'll be able to make new maps loads faster and may publish the editor.
Also, I'm working on making the PC version connect over the internet. I probably wont release this, but once that work is done I should be able to make the PocketPC version use an internet connection very quickly and lastly, UIQ will get the updates as well.
Cheers,
Tom

Finally internet gaming comes to soldier ants, even if it isn't for the UIQ version. I loof forward to any improvements to the UIQ version or any new map packs. This game could never get boring, but the map sorta can.

I'll have the map editor working sometime next week, once that is done it'll be soooo quick and easy to put new maps together!
I might add some new variations to existing packs as well as making new ones.

Yeah, I will probably make the map editor available. You might have to prepare all the graphics as .tga files though!

Here's progress on Soldier Ants...
I've just uploaded a new demo for UIQ to my website. If anyone tries this, can you let me know how it goes.
Internet play is working on PocketPC and on PC (not published yet).
I'm starting to look at internet play on UIQ.
The editor is almost working, but will be another few days.
Cheers,
Tom
