@Rhino8: Will defo try to hook up.

Realised that my bout of food poisoning was probably caused by a burger I had at Steers last night.

@coola: Yep we had Hanna-Barbera cartoons on local tv...first one that comes to mind is the Smurfs.

Back in 80s we had few local drama on tv compared to nowadays where there's a lot of local production.

@ coola,
Not all the ones mentioned were. Some were dubbed into various SA languages.
Hanna-Barbera's cartoons from that period probably didn't come to mind as much, as they have been shown and re-run so many times that there isn't much nostalgic value attached to them, I guess.

Personally, I've only been intigued by one of their far more recent offerings, in the form of the very off-beat 'Cow and Chicken.'

@da wanqsta: Sorry to hear about the whale who died...I only got the news about an hour ago.
How it could've lived in the Thames is a mystery seeing that it's so polluted.

@ brix,
Yeah, it's not everyday that you see a whale swimming passed the Houses of Parliament and the M.I.5 buildings.
Poor thing.
The Thames has been cleaned up substantially in past years,(a far cry from Victorian times!), and they have managed to introduce various fish into some of the estuaries further on,but it's still rather er...undesirable.

I think the amount of river traffic and noise must've been extremely traumatic for the mammal.
Oh well, in true Pom style, they did what they could when it comes to stranded animals. At least it's out of its misery.
