When you encoutered problem in connecting to the EC client, I want to share the following with all of you.

Qutoed:
Hi,

When the server says "connecting to server" it means that there are too many people trying to connect to the server at the same time. Please keep trying, eventually you will get through; try after office hours, maybe that's the best time to try. It also depends upon the speed of your connection that determines how fast you can get in the queue. I will also restart the server, that may help.

If, at any point you get "closed connection" that means that the connection to the server was not stable but you must try again.

When you do get a connection and you begin inputting your access details (username and password) please make sure that you type them in correctly. If you type in your access details incorrectly for four times, then your IP will be blocked and that will be more problems than it's worth!

Take care and happy unlocKing!

Hi,

Another Bluetooth failure. I decided to flash my new AT&T T68i (hardware R6B) with the R5C firmware (it was originally the R3C). Although many users stated that it works, my Bluetooth didn't work correctly anymore. The phone cannot be discovered anymore and when I push the main button of my Jabra headset, it didn't ask for the voice commands.

Besides BT not working, I recently discovered (no pun intended) that voice answering doesn't work anymore. Anyone else see this with a BT headset?

I'm not too sure about the various status bar responses. It was my understanding that a busy server will leave the user in a queue indicating the number of users ahead of them. My best guess for the server closing a connection would be when the packets timeout.

Although I recommend that T68 users stick to upgrading their phones by sending it into SE (if they can), there MIGHT be a good reason to flash upgrade their phones with the remote log client software. EMMA2 will only allow certain firmware files to be used with certain phones. For instance, and AT&T provisoned phone is only allowed a North American language set. Just make sure that the software dump is from a phone that is compatibile with yours by checking your hardware revision.

If a user was to flash their firmware on an AT&T provisioned phone with a clean T68i software dump, it might take on the characteristics of a phone that was sold directly by SE. That will free it up to accept all the software files that are available thru EMMA2 thereafter.

I'm sure that there have been a few that completely killed their phone with the remote log client while flashing firmware. Have any of you tried to use the KILLAVR file? Any success? I have been asked this question quite a few times in the past couple of weeks and wanted to know the results.

Thanks!

I actually have killed one phone with KILLAVR file. After this process, have to make a Restore GDFS to restore the IMEI, then to unlock the phone and to re-write the FW to the phone.

The reason I did that because I have tried to edit the AVR file but the EC seesion need to load some security data to the phone but fail and the phone became a dead piece.
