Well I would have actually preferred it if they decided to add the solution found here to their next firmware update (not that its likely to occur).
I'm still wonderring. Whats the main difference between Mongoose3800's patch and Aksd's modified w900i file?

If your talking the head phones, either mongoose3800 loudV2 or Askd's file found on the first page of this forum is best (Final Beta)

I've got a major problem (atleast, major for me

) I was going to replace the sound-files, and I accidentally removed ALL the sounds files in the acoustic-area....now I have NO sound on my phone. I've tried updating the firmware etc, nothing helps. What should I do?

You can download the filedirectory from
http://www.topsony.com/foro/local_links.php?catid=13 and pack up the files, take the acoustic files from ifs/settings/acoustic. But i think you have to register at Topsony.com before you can download the file.

hiya,
i looked back and forth through this thread, and either files are missing, or some information is not clear or too ambiguous for me.
i hate to be asking this, but i am getting a w810i this week, and i'd like to be able to remove the hiss and distortion immediately when i notice it.
which files would i need to accomplish that?
i have access to a pc and will have the data cable which comes with the phone. furthermore i am going to download the FAR Manager.
is it possible at all to get good results, or should i get another phone and an ipod?
thank you greatly for your help and advice,
dual

I have a k750,
1. I´ve seen some use w810 acoustic files, are there a difference between those and the ones for 750/800 (which are the same right?) in sound quality?
2. I´ve tried the default media player, and a really believe I need something else. Are the one avaible with the 800 firmware worth the upgrade? I´ve been using the Rockbox firmware on my iPod so I guess I´ve gotten a bit spoiled with functionality.
3. Is there any alt. media player? like a simple software app?
EDIT:
the Davinci app told me that I have a CID49 phone, how does this affect my flashing and file replacement plans?
