Homescreen does not respond correctly, K800i, Orange UK.

When SMS message arrives homescreen shows "New Events (1)" selected. Pressing the joystick in does NOT open the message as it should. Moving the selection down one (to "Running Apps") then BACK to "New Events (1)" and pressing the joystick in DOES open the message.

@ pootle.

It does work if you leave it a few seconds. But how annoying tho.

My Orange homescreen simply crashed my phone. Whenever I pressed the shortcut button, the phone locked up and the only solution was to remove the battery and replace it.

I flashed mine to the generic firmare and haven't looked back.

Thankfully I haven't noticed even half of the bugs listed here and I use the original firmware. One of the problems is that white screen sometimes when browsing, which seems to be fixed in R1CF001, too bad it's not on SEUS. I can live with it though, I still love my phone.

Can't say I've noticed this beeping sound using the radio... The only things that I've noticed is the green line during video recording and a looong delay after clicking Applications in the activity menu...

Cheers

It used to, but no longer does on mine. I have switched to 'pop-up' rather than 'home screen' for new events which works fine, and you get sms sender photo id

I got it.. thanks... so found new bug.. events of new message, i pressed C and it was deleted.. when i go to inbox, it is already unread message.. hmmm please confirm.. thanks dude!

This isn't a bug, the K750 also behaved like this. I find it handy, actually.

The activity menu is supposed to inform you of incoming alerts which have not yet been addressed. Pressing 'C' over a message in the activity menu is telling the phone that you are aware of the message and no longer need reminding of it, therefor it is safe to be marked as Read, but not erased.

It basically saves erasing a message that has not yet been read. The same as dismissing a call notification from the activity menu - it won't delete the details from the Call List.
