The thing is im right now the
c702, n78, 6220 classic n moto zn 5
are all available within the same range n its rather tough to decide..
every cel has one flaw or the other..

c702 n 6220 classic have no wifi.
zn 5 video capability max out at 176*220
n78 with its rather awkward look.. n plasticy feel.

makes my decisin all the more tough...

My suggestion is to get your priorities straight i.e. what exactly are you looking for in your new phone?

If you want (slightly) better durability then C702 and ZN5.

For a camera ZN5 rules.

GPS -> C702.

Moddability -> A200 (which means C702 of course).

The motorola does indeed have a very good cam, but motorolas arent very good or user friendly phones my last motorola lacked loads of features all the other phones had and it broke and had to be repaired
Never again would i buy a motorola, the nokia & c702 are the better phones.

Getting my priorities straight was the easiest part !!
but getting the phone with those priorities is another thing altogether...

As simple as i can explain....
I love music, i listen mostly while i ride my bike so i guess that means great earphones, quality and loudness wud be a factor. As far as i know the noise cancellation plugs of SE are the best in the business.

I click alot of snaps as well, n the occasional video, i guess all of these phones meet this requirement, bar the ZN5 bad video quality.

Durability is a key factor as i intend to keep this one for atleast 2 years.

GPS is preferred as i trek often n its kinda hard to get ur bearing right when its a cloudy day with mountains all around.

Battery life is also important. Im used to charge my SE k750 every 3 days or so. With 2 hours of calling n messaging, an hour of music and a few erratic games everyday.

Coming to the flash. the xenon on 6220 n zn5 are great, but never got any reviews about the c702 photo flash is it stronger flash than the k750i.

I guess reading all this wud make u think there is no better phone than the c702. But alas its this new thing in my college that has bummed out my plan.

Free Wifi in college. Actually it was there all along just didnt know about it...
So now that wud help me pass my time in college during em boring lectures.
So suddenly wifi became a priority that messed the whole thing up.

long story short, if given a choice for just $15-20 more wud u rather have taken the n78/6220/ZN5 or just stick with the c702 n get some accessories with that cash???

Thanks
Austin

PS: Sorry i get all hyper while buying any sort of gadgets, i tend to contemplate for a long time before i make a choice. So far no regretful choices [:p]

do you also take video alot? if not, maybe you should get the zn5. It has a very good camera and also have wifi which you can use in school.

I have zn5 and c702 currently, and I have used 6220 and n78 before. Both zn5 and c702 has very good built quality. the camera of zn5 is much better than c702. The xenon flash is very useful for indoor pics. The GPS of c702 uses googlemap for navigation. Unless u have unlimited data plan, you will incur high data charges.

The sound quality from zn5 is very good (using my own earphones). The supplied earphone of c702 is not very good, and you can't use your own earphones unless u buy an adapter. So I can't really guage how good the sound quality of c702 is.

The 6220 camera is very good also. However the built quality of 6220 and n78 is terrible. U feel that the phone is going to crack when you hold the phone too tight. The creaky plastic sound from the phone is annoying.

Actually you can use Trekbuddy for free GPS on C702. On the other hand, C702's large aperture and small focal length makes it less reliable in taking indoor dark shots unless you can get a modded camdriver.

Thanks elementz thats wat i wanted to hear about the NOKIA...
Dont really like them...

Just another thing, is there anyway to use the ZN5 with google maps. I mean can it detect my current location n find a route to another location. If not the route atleast the direction i should be heading???

Can the ZN5 play videos at VGA @30fps

BTW m not school im in third year of B.E.(IT). Is there anyway to have better recording on the ZN5, i suppose its a hardware limitation. Its rather awkward a great 5MP cam, but with video recording capabilities that have been around since 4 years!!!

How do u think ZN5 wud fair if it were to get drenched in the rain inside my pocket. I drenched my k750i plenty of time while riding in the rain. ALL i did was strip it down, use my sister hair dryerfor a while n keep its near the vent of my laptop, Play some heavy games for a few days and "walla" my phone is alive again...

C702 doesn't have a doc/PDF viewer out of the box.
