I would not let anyone put their grubby hands on my phone let alone their toes

Well, it looks like I was right to think this little thing above the HDMI port is notification LED.

I don't even understand the point of a micro sim anyway
Space, it shaves the plastic trim around the chip so the whole thing is smaller.
Hardly much point very fiddly & also the space saving is very minimal
you won't see the point unless you are a electronic designer and mechanical designer for a mobile devices. NOwadays with the competition so intense to get so many thing into a product. Every space they can find will be used since PCB can now be connected using Flexible circuit which allow them to stack over each other etc etc. That space can allow some resistor or some small chip to go in. They are looking for all the space they can to squeeze in the chip so it can be used for....bigger screen...bigger battery size (more capacity).... bigger CMOS sensor for camera. Maybe if you look into one sim card space save isn't more but for a designer there look into every space that can trim as the end result can be significant.
if you open up an old mobile phone, you will notice the plastic casing is likely 1.2mm but now...using metal and other new plastic material....you see handphone casing is mostly having 1mm or even less thickness. That's a big saving in term of volume.

Not at all. That gives no indication of what you would experience in a real world situation.

Whatīs the problem with this vid? I think people are getting a little too hysterical about what screen is a tad brighter or clearer, what mobile is a nano sec faster etc....
Im still on a 3gs and although itīs not Retina the display is more than sufficient...
I understood this discussion years back when we were talking about the difference of a black and white and a colour display, but this now is a bit ridiculous IMO!
But another thing, after watching the vid Im not so sure about the design anymore. I think the X10 looks even classier or is that just from the angle the vid was recorded from?

The same source tells that an HDMI cable will be included too...
but I think these two items will depend on the dealer... and some may charge a lot for these too...

The build-in music/video player are too simple. Especially the video player looks very ugly. Can't we install mediascape on our own? Isn't there an apk? They haven't skinned the search widget too.

Well it looks like the phone will be with us late Q1, and not June as advertised by CPW
