Did you expect anything else from Sony?
I sure did expect better.
Sony's legacy of quality products:
Innovation:
DVD, Blu-Ray, Mini-Disc/Hi-MD
I've owned so many generations of Mini-Disc/Hi-MD player/recorders over the last 15 yrs other than the very FIRST Portable CD Player and Mini-Disc Player/Recorder being plastic shells ALL where metal, with quality mechanism construction which most I've dropped 3' on concrete and only seen a dent (thin shells of course).
Quality Sound: recording and playback.
When Pioneer, Casio, Sanyo and others began to ship home component CD Players back in 1997 in Japan/Europe my pops bought a Sony that was all metal the rest on the market cheap plastic poor stands to keep the disc and lense eye stable.
VHS-HD recorders ... quality buy once last over a decade.
TV's Trinitron ... need I say more?
SonyEricsson's - remember only the chipset and base bands where built by Ericsson in the early years before UIQ evolved on the W995/P990i.
Xperia X1 was built by HTC as an OEM before they went public and started building their own smartphones for retail sale using their brand.

The W995 was a feature phone

And HTC were already building their own phones when the X1 arrived, its main rival was HTCs TouchPro

Supa fly, your memory is fading, I'm getting worried.

Regarding Regarding corrections they stand, I never really liked the HTC's until th M8 and t proposed M9 prototype prototype that's it. Definitely I'm wrong on release release though.
