I did see that on the first page but that is R2N001 and mine is R2AN001. Are they the same?

That firmware is not known (at least to me and many others). Post some more info... like: What's the camera version? Searchable phonebook? Is the firmware for a branded phone? Can you post a picture of the firmware display?

A lot of people here know a lot of things about latest firmware, but none of them has heard of R2AN001...

R2AN001
LCD 200404041
Camera 3.10
ITP CXC 125 813 R2C

The phone was unlocked but o2 branded until I done the flashes with Davinci and then run the SE update which then flashed my phone to the current version.

Not too sure what you mean by search but there is no search option on my phonebook just the normal entering of the first few letters to find your contact.

Hmmm..Interesting. I'm sure we have a lot of people around here who would find this interesting too.

This is possibly an operator firmware version.

well that should be the answer. I think R2AN001 is operator specific version for O2 UK and DE. only some bug fixes. I am no aware of any new versions for other ones.

@vee, i tought too that this was most likely to be operator specific firware. I had a question though, does operator specific firmware limit the functionality offered by the original manufacturer fw. OR does it possibly improve it?? I would think it is likely to restrict some aspects

well it loads probably operator specific changes in firmware. as far as I know O2 customized only few parts of firmware.
