Got my 4.3 update on O2... It seems fine! Although my phone froze for the first time ever today

Also had a bit of an issue with my WiFi on 4.2... It seems to keep cutting off when I'm using the phone with Stamina mode turned on, anyone else having a similar issue?

Mine is updating to 4.3 now. Cant wait to see the difference.
The WIFI on mine (on 4.2) often would lose internet if the reception was down to 1 bar, it would say it was connected to WIFI but couldn't access the internet. Hopefully it will improve in 4.3.

pretty sure the auto focus has been much better like I said before with update 4.3. The first shots with the cola cap is a good comparison. It finds its focus much quicker and more accurately. Ppl said I was just imagining thing lol, Im surprise many ppl still havent gotten the update or still havent update.

well guys my new screen arrived today and after 2hrs I had it installed, it is perfect as good as the screen that came out or maybe better, I didn't have the adhesive gasket seals as they haven't arrived yet but I wasn't going to put them in until I was sure everything was working 100%, once I get the seals I'll tear it down again and finish the job, everything went smooth - I took my time and made sure not to damage any of the circuit strips which are not shown in any tear down videos or guides, they are glued to the inner surface of the screen back so care needs to be taken when removing them.

All in all very pleased with the result, the viewing angles seem to be better with this screen but it's difficult to really tell as I thought my old screen was good too, yippie I now have the top 3rd of my touch screen back again, it was a pain in the arse trying use the phone without it

So for future reference if anyone else needs to do this I can offer some assistance

just compared my screen to the latest xperia blog screen compare with Z1 F and I can confirm that my viewing angles are very similar to the Z1 F - definitely nothing like the Z1 they are showing on that blog (100%)

I will get a friend to take a picture with his phone and post it here when he emails it to me

Thanks matey - it wasn't such a big deal really, my research beforehand was to make sure I had all the parts I needed to complete the job, seals and gaskets and stuff like that, I've worked in electronics for 30 years, the Z1 is very well put together and not too difficult to dismantle as long as you take your time, I'm very pleased with the screen which was slightly worrying - I thought I had a good screen until I saw this one

Anyway the next job is to dismantle it again (although not as far) give it a good clean and fit the adhesive gaskets on the bodywork to seal the phone up as it should be, I have every confidence it will be as good as new - I also ran the Diagnostics and everything is working fine

So my Z1 screen has been acting up a lot since last day, at times I can't even use it, and no touch is accepted or registered and at times the screen goes bonkers and starts doing weird things like someone is pressing on it or using it when I haven't even touched it.

Not sure why this is happening, I hope it is temporary and will be fixed with the next update, otherwise I will need a replacement or fix, and if it continues with a new phone, I may opt for a different device
