Any news on the camera update for the Z1?
How do you guys force ZOMG to write? Or am I looking into the wrong thread on neogaf?
I would ask him myself if I can, I have a neogaf account for like 4 years now and still can't post anything lol. He said Sony goal was to have Z1 as the best android camera phone by early 2014, and blows aways all the standard point and shoot standalone camera. Sony just recently said that Z1 will remain as their flagship line up for 2014, so it make sense for them to keep updating the phone through out the year especially when ZU is also got GPE release which makes android update even easier for them I bet. What was missing was the new jpeg compression and possible RAW support that ZOMG mentioned from a supposedly 4.3.1 update, which I am suspecting that it is just going to be the 14.2.A.1.114 and might not even carry the 4.3.1 android version. I think monday at CES we should see something a long with the WW release announcement for Z1F.

I have done a factory reset and reinstalled all my apps and settings, but it didn´t help.

I'm wondering where you got your info from? There was never an official statement afaik that 4.3 will give 4k or 1080p 60fps or a major camera update is with 4.3.
The only thing there was, was a rumor that there will be a camera update, not specifically mentioned either that it comes with the 4.3
and it's still just rumor.
imo 4.1 4.2 and 4.3 are all pretty much the same, since they are all considered android jellybean. It isn't a major revision like the jump from ICS to JB or the next one from JB to Kitkat. That said, minor updates are still nice as long as it does not introduce new problems and actually fixes problems with the previous release.

I will be surprised if such said camera updates will arrive by CES, more likely they will come with 4.4, if even then.
Perhaps Sony is waiting for the RAW support in android before launching the full camera update?

If it doesn't stop doing this by the middle of the week, I will be returning it for a new one or replacement, I do not want this device to be fixed. Hopefully it will go smoothly, but knowing Poland and how retailers deal with such things, I don't think it will :/

That was a sort of a pipe dream dreamt up by those who wanted to soften the blow of competitor flagships bringing
HD1080P@60FPS and 4K.
