sanj,
nothing... the good news is.... T610 with W24 and above its stable consider as in hardware faulty. LCD display better quality than old one. and the keypad should be white colour.

R1L firmware released but no improvement on the bluetooth. dis-paired bluetooth connection will happend once in awhile. when it happend. u can't off ya bluetooth headset or phone and switch on.... u must release the paired device and re-pair again.

T610 bluetooth modem will not work coz if bluetooth unstable.

good news is.... u still can transfer files.

and for thos who have the T618(chinese version) R1L don't have chinese version let... please wait or u still can update to R1L whereby ya phone will not support chinese words.

What do you mean by LCD display better quality? How bad was the old one? Bad as in can't see anything under the sun?

Then how good is it? Can you explain a bit more in detail coz I'm still considering to buy a new phone.

brighter as in backgroup light... compare with W19 and W20. it's save to purchase it now if u don't mind the bluetooth connection.

if u do have a bluetooth headset.... please wait for upgrade firmware. it's only the firmware problem. the hardware problem been fixed and running well.

other than that... this phone have certain features that others or none of the phone in the market can give u. when u writing a sms. and suddenly another sms come in. it will not disturb u. rather than the msg u writting will be send to unsent. the new msg will have to wait for u to finish ya sms first then only it will appear to show u that u have new sms. it's good for user that use sms alot.

a bit with the poly ringtone. it so soft in the begining that can hardly heard. then only it volume up slowly.

wap on MAXIS GPRS is great. faster comepare with DIGI.

oh yeah.... if anyone of u having problem with IrDa port with windows XP and Me. download the new patch for IrDa at sonyericsson.com. seem the XP and ME haev problem connection IrDa with T610. but it can be solve.

the phone is not as bad as what malaysia user mentioned in the general forum. in stead if they will improve the firmware when times goes on. it happend to T68 and now we should give some time to

to those who really interested to get T610. get W24 and above and with local 1 years warranty.

How loud is the poly-ringtone when it has achieved it's maximum volume? Say compared to Samsung's or Nokia 7250,6610?

Compare volume not number of tones... I really like it when I hear Samsung & Nokia poly tones blasting even though it's noisy. Heck the loud speaker of Nokia was so good, we did tele-conferencing with it before. Abit distorted but acceptable.
