I hope you are right.

Sorry for my panic, itīs probably just the bad feeling i am having these days because my phone is in for repair and i have to use an ancient nokia for at least a week...

Did you even read what I wrote?
In generic Sony Ericsson phones, the Mobile TV application is disabled.

In other words there's no DVB-H in the K850, its a app that works with rss feeds that links to the streamable tv channels.

my K850 runs great on R1EA031.... just bought it last week and I honestly never (hopefully really never ever) encounter the black picture (camera and flash is not synchronized) since I got the phone, which runs on R1CA037... I think my phone as the asian setting? SEUS says that update APAC-ANZ is available....

almost everything is faster (opening menus, scrolling through stuff, camera load time, etc) but the main thing that disappoint me is the indoor shot.. well, compared to my K750, it is getting a lot better, but not that much better... only the grainy-ness and the noise level (tiny dots) got reduced a bit.. but the color is not as "real" as the pics that K750 took.... K850's color setting is more like Nokia's (I've compared K850's pics and my husband's N95's pics, almost the same weird color)...
