One reeeeally annoying thing though, is something called STK-service that keeps poping up all the time. I have found out that it means "SIM Tool Kit"-service, but not exactly what it does.
google it and you should find a fix. The sim toolkit is a menu that is installed by the sim card and is operator specific. I'm pretty sure there is a way to turn it off, not sure how though.
Over all I think the state of the phone is a little better than the P990 was after a year of updates. Hmmm... Maybe a lot better.
Sounds promising.
One thing they need to fix though, is the bluetooth communication. It doesn't work perfectly on my phone.
what problems have you had?
I have found an entry in the registry for the STK-service, and I think I might possibly get rid of it by deleting that entire key. But since it's a new phone I shouldn't have to do it that way. But as Henkeee suggests, I think it might have to do with the SIM-card. Hopefully I will get a new one soon.
And now for the bluetooth:
Well. First of all, can't receive files through bluetooth. At least not from a Nokia, and yes I have paired it.
I also have trouble sending files. If I enter the filemanager and select to transfer a file via bluetooth, the phone usually finds one or more "Unknown device". Sometimes, if I wait a while, the "Unknown device" changes to the correct ID of the device.
Yesterday I tried sending a few ringtones from my Xperia to my girlfriends Nokia, and after a few successful ones, I had to try 5-10 times for each tone before it could be sent.
Also, when using a BT handsfree, the connection seems to get broken as soon as the phone enters standby. Not very convenient if you want to use the handsfree when receiving a call.
@Henkeee
Yes, I do have an old Vodafone SIM.

I think I have had some problems with it already with my P990, but they were not as big as the current problem. I called Telenor the recent thursday and asked for a new one. Hopefully I will get one on monday. Glad to see your post. Makes me more confident it actually is the SIM.
Regards,
Michael

Men den e dyrare där, 6700kr skulle dom ha.. Så väntar man ett par dagar kan man få tag på den för runt 5990kr. PC-city t.ex..

@joel80 what store?

How is it with X1 now in UK? I am thinking of buying XPERIA from UK, but I haven't found any dealers, who has XPERIA X1 in stock now? Can anyone recommend some good shop, which ship to the rest part of Europe than UK only? Thanks

none in UK, or indeed outside of Scandinavia it seems, have X1 in stock.
Currently is listed as being available last week of October.
mphone, expansys and a few others will post overseas with appropriate proof that you are the valid credit card holder

The fact that it is a SE is holding me back. I thought I would never buy a SE again due to their support (or lack of it). But as it so happens, now that I'm buying a phone, the xperia appeals the most to me. And the ignorance of SE has reached the surface yet again. Nobody knows what they're buying cos there is no detailed spec sheet, even SE representatives are sending mixed messages. All the label SE does to this phone is damage IMHO
