looking at the aspect ratio of the screen 16:9 which is perfect for movies....i hope this phone brings good video codec support with it for android!!! would love if it plays divx and xvid!!! especially since it is rumoured to have a 1Ghz snapdragon CPU which i m sure would easily handle that!!
i guess video callin is out of the question tho since there is no front camera...altho thats not a biggie for me...since i never use it anyways.
would really love to see the full spec sheet for Rachael!!!!

Does anybody have this photo? The name is: Rachael_black_preview_090610.png. Somebody has to have this picture somewhere... I don't believe that people download file and then delete it almost immediately

I've just watched this UI demo once again. And once again I'd like to write about this SMS conversation... It made me really curious. Some things are very strange. David Wenham - the guy who is conversating with the woman - is an actor. I think most of you remember him from the Lord of the Rings - Faramir. In the conversation he is sending a photo of Mike Mills (movie director) and he mentions that he is his new boyfriend...
Isn't it strange? As far as I know Wenham has two daughters and a longtime girfriend (so he is actually "straight"). I'm starting to think that it may be a fake! I hope I'm wrong...

I'm with HxH, I am hearing different things about these phones so people here are doing a lot of hyping. It doesn't mean that it'll be crap, just wait for more official info to come. I knew about Rachael but have never seen it and it seems to be quite complete. It would be an achievement if it were to come out this year, I have always thought that Android would be here in 2010. Kiki is totally new to me.
Cybershot 12MP and Walkman touch to go toe to toe with the 5800XM or its successor since thats more realistic. I will try to get more info since
are starting to allow leaks. Certain phones need replacing, Twiggy is an example so just think about what needs replacing and Bob's your uncle.

even if it is a non transparent double side AMOLED display...it will still be jaw dropping for Kiki.
and LG thought its transparent Keypad is the " IN " thing hehe but of course I am not surprise Samsung and LG might just announce their version a bit later but get them out in the market earlier...
btw it seem like Kiki don't have camera or this is like the Nokia 8800 which the screen will slide up....with camera hidden underneath.... but those who want it might feel ok to live without camera for the COOLNESS it provide hehe

I miss the time when Ericsson (Yes, without "Sony") was the innovator on the cellphone market. New technology? It's in the new Ericsson and Nokia were constantly playing catch up. Nokia did sell more phones but as we used to say: "Need a tool? Get an Ericsson, need a toy? Get a Nokia". It rhymes when you say it in Norwegian
I currently own the Xperia X1 and I love it. I've had iPhones and the Google Dev Phone 1 (Android) but still prefer Windows Mobile. The latest dumbphone I had was (besides the iPhone) the K850.
I'm kinda excited by X2 / Rachel but can't escape the feeling that I'll be disappointed again. In a way I actually hope that Sony Ericsson goes under. I hope that what happens next is that the management that killed SE gets the f**k out and Sony (which isn't doing that well anyways) gets out of the mobile phone business altogether.
Ericsson however is a very healthy company and are at the cutting edge of telephony and data infrastructure. They should get back to basics, have a smaller portfolio of premium phones with cutting edge technology and quintessentially scandinavian design. Go back to being best at the techie bits that matter, not just try to be everywhere and therefore fail everywhere.
