both arent very plausibe... just say the bus drier gave it bak 2 u.. as no1 claimed it or something along those lines

Gave it to the busdriver, cuz you didn't know who the owner was.
Now u met the busdriver again and told him you found out who the owner is and u got the phone back from him.
OK maybe this is a bunch of lies but hey he will belive you and it will all be cool. The vaseline nightmares will be all gone
