Many of you say you'll pass on this one - I'll wager you'll eventually will buy it. Those of you saying the HTC Atom (branding by O2) is calling you ... dont worry that device is a PDA first! And you'll be pissed with this device and be coming back to the SE camp. Specs are one thing and with different platforms it isnt comparable >> thus more memory on a MS Mobile device is needed for applications & for system memory.
This phone like all its precursors is a phone FIRST & FOREMOST>> something you all forget. Now this will become more prevailent as solutions for WiFi calling. I'm sure this is SE's hidden ajenda. So many of you complained of its size >> now you have a smaller size by millimetres and you complain. The resolution is sweeter so more crystal clear display and still it isnt good enough for you guys. 5 months from now and I doubt that any other phone will look as sexy and promise so many features as this phone.
I thinks its because the photos dont look like the current GUI it scaring off faithful P910 owners away.

Looks like a Treo? I thought so too at first. But now in retro spect the Treo has got nothing on this. The Treo is a DEAD OS - waiting to be injected with Linux core: doubt that'll save Palm.
Just read some more on the site and found this:
Macromedia Flash Lite™ for impressive animated wallpapers, menus and other graphic elements!
Sweet, the major feature that I was hoping in the Nokia N70 to be part of the OS Symbian v 8.1; is at the core of v9.1! Now pure Flash sites -at least I hope - will be able to load on this device.
Please SE make one in Oxidize Black just like the K750i!!!!

I agree with you on the screen Prom1. And the other reported features sound very good. Personally I'm keen to see what SE have in hard screen uiq3 (for the smaller size). I'm also impressed with the xda mini for the fact it has a small form factor AND a touchscreen. It's not much bigger than a K750! But some aspects of pocket pc I don't like plus xda phones are a bit tempramental in my experience.
My wish is that SE would do the same and bring out an ultra small (aka K750 sized) UIQ3 touchscreen handset. However I expect they will reserve touchscreens for P series, leaving me in the market for either a hardscreen UIQ3 handset from SE, or forced by the touchscreen and formfactor alone to an XDA mini (shudder). There are too many factors where the ergonomics and reliability of SE would win out so I'd most likely go with the UIQ3 hardscreen.
Here's my idea of the ideal UIQ3 hardscreen handset. I'm trying to be realistic, based on the reported features of P990
1. Candybar, same size as K750.
2. 208x320 Display (smaller sharper pixels, so overall screen size about 20% bigger than K750, but much higher resolution).
3. shorter wider keypad, to accomodate larger screen
4. Micro Duo card slot, comes with 256MB (this form factor needed to help keep phone small)
5. 200MB Internal memory
6. 3MP camera
7. Decent media player installed and sold with phone
8. Standard stereo headset jack built into phone (realistically this isn't gonna happen).
9. USB Mass storage device compliant (IE: don't need drivers to install in winxp, just plug and play with cable)
10. This would make a nice UMTS phone!
11. Word/Excell converters packaged with phone AND Outlook synch (I think SE are doing a deal with MS about this)
12. WIFI would be nice but I also don't think this is a realistic wish
13. Support for Bluetooth video and audio profiles so you can beam handset content to home entertainment systems, car stereos etc: A2DP, GAVDP (Generic Audio Video Distribution Profile)
That would be a killer phone for me

Lots of people are confused, saying it has lost the big screen. The screen is, in fact, bigger. Just 1 mm shorter, and 1 mm wider. It simply seems to be smaller because it has moved to the top, leaving space for the keypad.
But it is bigger!
So if your reason for not getting one is "i prefered the old big screen", find another excuse
