if you keep trying and cant get it to work just drop it into a service centre. Hopefully they wont notice it has w800i firmware. I took mine and they had no problems in fixing it. And i got it back in 3 days.

I'd like to know that too actually. Can i use the silver data cable that came in the box or do I need hte 2 in 1 cable thing from davinci to do the fix??

DCU-60 can be used for updating the firmware... at least on SEUS... don't know about DaVinci...

Hope anyone can confirm if it does. Sorry again for not clearing this up earlier in the thread. Hope you all get it to work.

The White screen cmes on for 2 seconds, dn the phone just dies and screen goes Black and deaD!

hi, i talked to some programmer on Davinci and he said that you can only repair the GDFS with the Service Cable. So, those of you, who are facing this problem shud take it to a service center. I think, that wud be cheaper for u. Anyway, you can also buy the same cable from here:
http://www.kobonet-netshop.co.uk/2in1_usb.php . If you are in EU, US or Australia, then you will recieve the cable in 5-6 days. Its much faster compared to Davinci. Those guys take too much time.
