What do you mean by SDIO mini SD compliant devices? which are you talking about here?

SDIO compliant means that you can use more than just memory cards, such as GPS, external camera etc etc
early iPAQs were not SDIO compliant and that caused quite a few complaints but these days most devices have SDIO slots.
Once you have a device that is SDIO compliant (i.e. it can accept things other than just memory cards) the next problem is actually finding such devices and at present there are very few in the mini SD format though tere are plenty in the regular size SD format

Why does there need to be a replacement?
I guess they would not be necessary as more phones are becoming more functional...

I guess people are always going to want something extra that the device does not offer as standard

It looks like the HTC Hermes has another face lift.
And it comes with a juicy 400mhz intel processor.

Hi !
I been reading as much as I can about the Imate JasJam and wonder if this is the official imate page for shopping
http://www.imatephonestore.com/product.asp?itemMDL=IMATE_jasjam
Are there are places to buy unbranded JasJam's that Easto people would recommend?

never seen that store before and its US based so I suspect its a retailer that simply sells imate
the JasJam isn't officially announced yet and doesn't appear on their website yet either
I get my i-mates from Expansys as they tend to be first to get them in UK
