hey guys, first post!!! HUZZAH!!! (sorry, new favourite word)

Really interesting topic, i was just wondering, axxxr, you said that it is impossible to get within a mile of the spy base in North Yorkshire without being arrested. On what grounds do they arrest you on? Trespassing?

And the thing about not being able to drive without "they" knowing where you are headed, that sucks. All it will do is slow up traffic and what if the bbig database thingy ,likem crashes or screws up or sumthin? "They" will just suspect terrorism and ground all traffic. bummer.

No surprise there. Have know about yank monitoring of communications for years. Just another way they have of imposing their will on the rest of the world. In many ways america today is frightenly like nazi germany was in the 1930s with Bush as the modern Hitler trying to take over the world...

Its not really our govt that worrys me that much, its when our govt allows other more hostile govts like the americans to spy on us at the same time thats worrying..why are american spy bases allowed in GB??..we are supposed to be seperate country last time i checked!...We go around the world murdering and terrorising weaker and poorer nations, all so that we can spread "OUR SO CALLED DEMOCRACY"...yet look at our govts hypocracy, they practice methods used in China,North Korea,.and other non-demoractic countrys....So i think you need to get real really.

Lol, wtf are you talking axxxr ? I never talked about the hypocracy or the murdering of our gov. ! So your "i think you need to get real really." is a bit misplaced and totally incoherant to my post ...

Back on topic, the definition of "liberty" is arbitrary these days, I partially accepted it. Yes, it's wrong but what you gonna do about that ? You can't, it's part of our society. Pitty. Chew on it and it will wider your life.

Never mind Jim....I don't think anyone here will disagree with me that my reply is totally relevant.

Saying we can't do anything about it,does'nt mean we should'nt hightlight and discuss the issue...maybe we the people don't have the power to change things but maybe, just maybe we can make some sort of difference and bring about change...turning a blind eye to the issue won't exactly make things better either....our opinions in the end turn into votes at election time and thats when we do have the power.
