take a look around.... The W900i has only been released in the UK under an exclusive Vodafone agreement. Vodafone dont allow their phones to be updated via SEUS so until the period of exclusivity runs out then there probably wont be any updates as the problems that arise on the voda ones will be sorted out with an update from vodafone themselves.
So jus wait till SE release the generic version then all will be ok an they will start to release the updates!
K750i and W800i and W550i were all released as generic handsets as well as exclusive silver one (k750i) so they started to release the updates nearly straight away.

yes but the phone was also launched everywhere else.. so that's fine if UK doesn't get an upgrade but what about the rest of Europe and Asia?

Hi all,
yesterday I bought my W900i. The software is:
C011 prgCXC 1250252 R5AC011 000000. Is it a new or an old one? And can I update using my PC?

The actual firmware version is R5AC011 - there's been 3 new releases since, R5AF001, R5AG001 and R5AH001 (which seems to be Hong-Kong specific) but no-one seems to be sure what's been changed. There seems to be some contention as to whether or not C011 or F001 is the newer version as C011 is dated September whereas F001 is June (which is before initial release I think). At this stage the only way to upgrade is to use DaVinci. Unless you need to unlock your phone for some reason, there seems to be little benefit in bothering. It'd pay to wait until the update is available either from the in-phone update function or via the SEUS application.

I was under the impression that there was only one firmware version for the W900i so far - R5A - and that all the variations on it were just regional specific versions of the firmware.
