no, radio need the wire conected to the phone so it works as antenna. Otherwise radio doesn't work.

Still it renders any other bluetooth headset out of date and also any ipod, so you could sell them both on ebay and probably afford this new bluetooth and a bigger pro duo card.

tbh that is absolutely crap in my opinion! - why will anybody buy it, when you can't just plug in a set of headphones through 3.5mm??? - if they brake then you need to buy whole set again, with bt reciever, or get se service centre to fix it...and this will be rather pricey aswell!
