Hi there. I'd like to know if one of you might give me at least an idea about the problem that I'm experiencing with my SE W170i (Unlocked - Firmware: R1JC002 prg CXC1250433_NAM_1_CH R1JC002. EROM: R3A016 /Camera Version: 3.0 / Java: JP-7.3).
Yesterday my girl and I were seeing some pics of our 4 months old nephew. All the photos were stored at the memory stick M2 (Sony original 512mb). The ms also contained 2 or three folders with music (mp3). In a second, when mi girl went to show the pics to a friend, all the pictures gone, all the music gone too!!!!. We decided to turn off the cell phone, remove the MS-M2, reinsert the MS-M2 and turn the cell phone on. Just after the startup screens, the cell phone shows a warning saying: "Are you sure you want to FORMAT the MS-M2? All information will be lost!!!"
Weird thing. I've tried to read the MS-M2 using an USB card reader (Win XP SP2). When insert the MS-M2, the "Autoplay" window appears but closes a few seconds after. I'd like to know if the problem is on the MS-M2 or on the cell phone. An update may solve this inconvenience? SE service will be the best, right?
Thanks a lot for the help, patience, answers... and sorry for my "engrish"

@Makabre: A bit late, but i think it is related to the MS, i own this phone and have the same firmware than yours and have not had this problem...
Hope it helps...

Has anyone ever managed to get one of these old phones to connect back to the internet? And how?

Managed to get this little bugger online by connecting it to my X M5 using a cable and an adapter. I sideloaded a few Java games such as Sonic. Got this forum back up on the screen but it resets after a few mins.
The nostalgia was flowing back.
