Well, this did start out as an ericsson forum after all and I guess it should remain that way. Nokia users are all welcome but I don't think they should be demanding for this and that. You don't go to your friend's house and demand an ice cold beer right away right? Wait for the man to offer.

I don't think any Nokia users here are DEMANDING anything, simply ASKING if it would be possible. And yes, I do realise it's an Ericssson/SE forum, but still times are changing and the forum is getting bigger by the hour, and a lot of it's members own other phones made from other manufacturers than SE/Ericsson. So in all fairness it might be time for a change...(just my opinion of course).

I'm a cellphone/tech fanatic, I guess you might call it that, like most people in this great forum(my hat goes off to laffen), but the one thing that really bugs me in here are all the SE-fanatics. Maybe it's just me, but I cannot understand how people can go all crazy 'bout a big corporation, dismissing all other great handsets that's out there just cause it's not branded SE!?? All I'm looking for, as well as many others with me I'm sure, is a little open-mindness. Do you really think that's too much to ask for?

Yeah, I know it started from an innocent suggestion and I too am tired of all this "down with Nokia, se rules" kind of childish crap. But frankly, if this forum were still be dedicated to se phones (and there are threads for other manufacturers too) I feel that it should remain as it is. Starting to put in Nokia avatars makes it seem like this forum is losing its focus which is the se user groups. Imageine if all the users here start storming a Nokia forum, demanding to have their T68 avatars in their posts.

Alternatively, there are forums which have user customizable avatars but my guess is that would look really messy in a site like Esato.

I'm not picking a bone with anyone. Actually I've talked to Mark through e-mail on several occations, and I think he's a great guy!
I know there's other forums out there, and I'm a member of several, but I happen to think that this is the best one. I'm not a "Nokia-fan", or a fan of any other brand for that matter!! I think all the brands have their upsides and downsides. I just look at their products, trying to stay unbiased towards the brand-name, I suggest you try the same! You might find that there's a whole new world of great technology out there if you just open your eyes!!

@Darknezz, If you've paid attention you might have noticed that we actually do discuss other handsets on this forum! Limiting this great site to SE products ONLY would be really sad!!!...If laffen told me that I should leave this forum just cause I got a Samsung S100 and a Nokia 7650(and like to discuss them) in addition to my T39, then I will do so! But I hardly think that will happen, do you?
@Sanjeevjaya, It's ppl like you and @Darknezz here who makes it tough for new members who'd like to discuss their Nokias, Samsung, Siemens, Panasonic etc. to feel welcome here. Please try to contribute in an orderly fashion. Saying childish things like Nokia sucks, SE rules just doesn't do any good!! (makes me wonder 'bout your age...)

Cant u see them milking u ? Ok so u may be rich and got the 7650, now they come out with 3650 with memory slot and all... U not angry ? Maybe u dont feel it but those who buy nokia will only get disappointed in the end. If not for SE and manufacturers like SEIMENS and Motorola, Nokia will be a dormant giant.... I'm not in a bad mood, just expressing my opinions. I too find a lot of flaws with Nokia as a corporation, trying to monopolize the cellphone market. But when they release a handset I like, I will buy it. I was really sceptic before I got the 7650(size-wise and all), but what drawed me to actually get it, was all the awesome JAVA and SYMBIAN apps and games comming out for it. I can play DOOM in 3D on it, I have a webviewer that lets me view actuall html pages(the real WEB), I have a media-player that lets me download streaming media or view it OTA(film trailers, music videos etc.), I can get a program that lets me record small movie-clips with the cam, I can fully customize the UI...and the list goes on.. It must be said that the battery life and the memory could be better though. And no, I do not like the 3650!
