If you really want to go IP address hunting you can use a nice little piece of software called NeoTrace Pro. It will find an IP address for anything, URLs, smtp servs etc, not only that but it will give you mail addresses and ping/retrace nodes around the world (in graphics). Very professional program and easy to use, also used by h4>

Help! Am trying to configure Yahoo POP3 email on my t68.

I've successfully set up GPRS WAP (Orange Swiss subscriber) am able to download logos, etc

I've set up POP3+SMTP using both DNS+IP address of yahoo, also configured Yahoo WWW to enable download of emails via POP3.

I've opened and closed WAP connection to attempt download of emails.. _but_ still gives me the 'Cannot Connect to Server' or 'Server not found'.

Could it be the fact that my GSM/GPRS provider doesn't support POP3/SMTP ? Can anyone enlighten me?

Thank you!

I use my T68 with Voicestream service in New York. I followed the instructions on downloading Yahoo POP3 email on the T68, and I am able to connect both using GPRS and circuit switched. However, I am only getting the subjects of the email messages downloaded, not the text of the body. This happens with both forms of connection.

Does anybody have any idea what I'm doing wroing? Thanks.

@Shahmoon, please note that the T68 email client cannot display web-formatted mail. if it receives such, you won't see the body. my subscription with cnet.com is web-formatted, and i don't get the body. other than that, it is ok.

I have been trying to access yahoo mail by making the T68 email client to connect to a regular ISP. I have set the thing up according to the various posts in this forum. I created an analog gsm data connection. I entered ip numbers for the pop server. I also activated the POP3 option of my US Yahoo account. I was never successful(server not found message which drives me nuts). But I recently had success with my university account. I started forwarding my yahoo mails to my university account and I'm very happy since then
