you pressed the 7 key - as in you pressed the letter C? i press the backspace button as this had the same function as C on bog standard phones. i wonder if the "back" button will work too?
My screen still flickers on generic world 2. i'm starting to think it may be hardware related. And if it is true that it doesn't flicker when on loud speaker - maybe it is interference from the normal speaker above the screen?

Quote:for M series, you no need to press C button when it prompt to.
Just take out phone battery, take out SIM card, then put back battery and plug in DCU-60 cable and it will run without problem
Sounds like any button will work lol

A note of caution:
I just ran the update on my 2-day old M600. It seemed to go fine, however now the phone is dead. The screen just flashes contantly. It won't start at all. Is there anything I can try, or will it have to go back?

It sounds like you moved the phone after it said not to. However, it could be that it did not finish flashing properly. You can try to reflash it again, or take it to a SonyEricsson service center for repair.

Nope, didn't touch it until it finished. It's no longer recognised by the PC, so I can't restore it or reflash it. It's going back for a refund.
Anyone know anywhere I can get another black one for next-day delivery in the UK? Most places seem to be out of stock...

Hmmmm..... Interesting consider that AFAIK the files all download to your computer before the installation begings. Maybe a file got corrupted.
