The green led does not blink under normal use.
I use R9.

Dear All,

Gday. Thought i would share some info with you guys on the
firmware update. I spoke to a technician at SE service centre.
They have told me to hold before i upgrade to R9, there would be a new
stabilized version out by end of this month (End Jan 07). I hope
the new version will bring some light to the unresolved issues.
Regards

This is what I have suspected. I had a feling that something new was going to come out real soon. And this time I think that some new things will be added, and not just bug realated (Hoping)

Hi all,

* when I use the security code for phone lock, sometimes USB icon appear without connecting USB cable and dont removed untill restart the phone.
* in the Music when click update some hidden files appear.
* if anyone contacting SonyEricsson about the problems tell them also to put a password on the fileManager in the phone to prevent others from seeing hidden files.

My R9 update:

1.) As mentioned by several others, numbers would show for a split second when entering PIN numbers before turning into asterisks (*).

2.) On the today screen, flip closed, recent missed calls do not get logged.

3.) The USB icon appears and stays displayed even though the phone is not connected to my computer.

4.) The boot up is still slow as the previous fw.

I will add on to this list as I find more bugs.

@michi123:
Max characters at 153 is due to large font as the default. This adds extra hidden control characters to the SMS. Try changing to medium font size. (This is not Zoom but instead the "Aa" icon under the text window.)

I did the same test... however, NO sound from Front Speaker! Do YOU get any sound there?

To makbil: the sound volume won't stay at any other level then 50%. Even if you change that in the service menu. The 'adjusting' only is to see/hear the changes while in the menu!

While doing the test I do hear sound from the front speaker, more like beeping sound. At 100% the front speaker volume level is very satisfactory unlike in conversation where it's too low. But you are right, the test default is 50% and it always starts at that value.
