Whilst in it's day S80 was as you put it quite special IMO opinion S60 3rd Edition especially now with FP1 is a much more advanced OS and has so much support for additional apps already and not forgetting it also now so fast it really is a step up and forward from S80 which lets face it is old hat now. IMO anyone that thinks the E90 will be a flop needs to be committed to an Asylum as they must be barking mad. If anything i think the E90 will attract more people rather than less than the original commies as it is such a good and easy OS to use.

@Dogmann
I totally agree with you but I remember since my first commie that i used the 9110 they all had a dedicated OS. I’m not bullying the idea of keeping it, just remember that it was always something new. I’m probably feeling reminiscent as to me the originally commie will pass away with the launch of the e90. This can no longer be called with affection "a brick". Sure it’s big but it’s been styled, and perhaps it’s just me but I miss the simplicity of the old commies' designs.
Btw up till now what’s your favorite commie to date...? AND no I’m not posting just BS, because we all know that the e90 is the techiest out of the lot. Nah I mean what commie will stick to your thoughts as something that you loved. To me it will always be the 9110. For starters it was abouts the only phone, at the time, that could transfer ring tones via IR. It was very exclusive. And last but by far not the least the way it sounded sort of Polyphonic.
So welcome e90 but never farewell to your ancestor the 9110

I see there are some saying that they prefer the P9xx over the E90, because the E90 (in their eyes) is ugly designed compared to the P9xx series!
Who gives the f**k about that!?!
Design is NOT one of the keyfactors in a cellphone - neither is weight or batterytime!
If the battery can last for a day that's enough - just put the phone in the charger when you go to sleep, and it is ready for the next day!
No, there are ony 3 keyfactors that count when selecting a cellphone: features, features and features!
And the E90 got them all - almost!
Why oh why, has Nokia dropped the fax!?! Isn't the E90 a business-phone? Any busines with respect for themselves has a fax - and I surely use it almost every week!
BRING BACK THE FAX, NOKIA!!!
This could be a serious showstopper for me!

@Pistolprins
Now this is something i do agree with as i will always take a slightly larger device over a smaller one as like you it's features and spec are what are most important to me. I really don't care how nice looking someone else thinks my device is as long as it performs to my expectations and meets my needs that is always my priority. Function over form every time IMO that's not saying i don't like a good looking device just that size really isn't a problem for me hence a large N93 and a small 8800 Special Edition they both fulfil my different needs.

Now you're beeing silly. You can't say what is and what isn't a keyfactor in a phone as a fact... We all have different needs, and I can assure you that there are some that do hold the design as the most important feature in a phone, as there are others who think highest of a good battery time. And they are fully entitled to that opinion.
Now, if you would have said "keyfactor in a smartphone", you would at least have made some sense since E90 sure is one, and never was intended as a 'design' or 'fashion' phone.
I'm thinking of getting one myself. Having a nice big display with a comfortable keyboard along with a powerful and stable OS seems really nice.
