Still 50/50 here, was told from local Game Store that I could pick one up midnight Thursday without even having to pre-order! not a good sign.

£425 console
£45 game
£15 hdmi cable
£20 blu ray film

Lot of money...

Dude you seen the vids on Youtube? Looks friggin amazing, proper old school Gran Turismo with all the jap cars, RX7's, Skylines, Celica's, Evo's etc.

I am sooooooooooo tempted to get a PS3, i would be skint for like the next month as just paid out nearly £600 for TV but i dunno if i'd care

apparently the Ferrari license was/is extremely exspensive, hence why it hasnt been in GT before....

Polyphony had made enough money by the time GT2 was released to afford it(easily, I might add)......

Blu-ray discs are 'scratchproof', but of course dragging any disc along the ground is creating a little more than a scratch. We're talking the ligh scratches we annoyingly get on DVDs and CDs at the moment etc, and no HD-DVDs are not less prone to scratches than Blu-ray, it's the other way around. This also apparently includes fingerprints...

"Blu-ray, unlike HD DVD, requires a hard coating on its discs because it’s 0.5m closer to the surface. The polymer coating it uses, called Durabis, was developed by TDK and is supposedly extremely resilient and fingerprint resistant."
