Deffinatly Vhs' v's Dvd over again
oh man the quality is outstanding i first started downloading hd of the net and was amazed, perfect picture and great sound, now i dont even watch tv or dvd, its the net or hd for me,

Still 50/50 here, was told from local Game Store that I could pick one up midnight Thursday without even having to pre-order! not a good sign.
£425 console
£45 game
£15 hdmi cable
£20 blu ray film
Lot of money...

assuming u mean not a good sign as in theres no waiting list so not many ps3 sales? well its been delayed sooooo long Sony wouldnt be short stocked

Dude you seen the vids on Youtube? Looks friggin amazing, proper old school Gran Turismo with all the jap cars, RX7's, Skylines, Celica's, Evo's etc.
I am sooooooooooo tempted to get a PS3, i would be skint for like the next month as just paid out nearly £600 for TV but i dunno if i'd care

i only just seen the gran turismo hd videos on you tube im so tempted now, dont think i can justify nearly £550 quid for the console gt and f1 tho nothing else takes my fancy

Blu-ray discs are 'scratchproof', but of course dragging any disc along the ground is creating a little more than a scratch. We're talking the ligh scratches we annoyingly get on DVDs and CDs at the moment etc, and no HD-DVDs are not less prone to scratches than Blu-ray, it's the other way around. This also apparently includes fingerprints...
"Blu-ray, unlike HD DVD, requires a hard coating on its discs because it’s 0.5m closer to the surface. The polymer coating it uses, called Durabis, was developed by TDK and is supposedly extremely resilient and fingerprint resistant."
