its locked to orange
i doubt its easy to unlock
you try and get past the WinXP Product code

your see what i mean
i have passed the xp key code and i think it is possible to unlock this one., however, if it is not going to work on other operators, than it is useless to me...
and as for the manufacturing issue, i was not asking who made it (i know it is taiwanese company) i wonder what it actually says on the back sticker made in ????? if it is taiwan its okay, but i suspect it might be europe or something, please someone check for me... TIA
and can someone post some real life pics...

I've been offered by orange to buy a SPV without subscription and they told me that it was not SIM-locked, only that I wouldn't be able to use the orange SPV-portal and therefore would miss some features like software-upgrades etc..
I could live with that but I don't want to miss out on features like WAP, MMS etc so I just want to know if these settings are editable...
Cheers

The phones only be out a few days and already you can get it for £5?
I reckon that means it costs £365 (incl contract) over the year, but you can buy it direct from Orange for £309 (incl. contract)
I guess you could get the phone for £5 and then drop down to the cheapest tarriff asap and save yourself some cash!

does anyone have any 100% proof that the SPV is not locked when you buy it?

That is if you buy it with a contract..
As I said I've been told by orange denmark that you can buy it without a contract (5299 DKR) and if you do that it will not be SIM-locked...
Still no answer about WAP- and MMS-settings etc though...
