I think it is not a good idea to consult a "medium", they will make you scared saying things like possessions and evil spirits, so they can keep you coming back for more "séances".
I'm not a christian, but we believe that no evil (human, animal, natural, supernatural, anything bad) can harm us (humans) against God's will. So i suggest you pray God to be free of harm, and to relieve your hearts of all things bad, and help you on your hard times.
Also if you wish, you may ask a priest to "tell you a prayer" (NOT that "I will pray for you" stuff, ask him to show you a way to ask God's mercy properly) so that you can pray and seek shelter in God's protection and grace. But praying from your heart should do the trick, it may be even better, as it's your own feelings and words.
Don't worry, God is infinitely generous, and will accept your prayers.

Hey mate, listen I havent had time to read the full 4 pages of peoples responses but I wanted to see if I can try and help lead you in the right direction.
Ok this is gonna be a long one but I hope this helps, I was in Malaysia not so long ago and met one of my friends who I have known for a while. Anyway the day before I left I was supposed to be picked up by my friend but she was late and so I missed my flight. She came over really apologetic and I said its cool for everything there is a reason. Anyway we got chatting in my hotel room whilst I rebooked my flight for the next day, and she told me that a strange thing was happening to her at night and she went on to explain.
She said that she was able to FLY at night to different parts of the world and she would meet different people...so I said ok and what do you do to these people...she explained she helps them but didnt go into to much detail... I said right and I then proceeded to ask her a few questions like when she wakes up does she find herself bruised or her feet dirty even though she was clean before she went to bed...and she agreed and said yeah how did you know.
I went on to explain to her that my mother is a pastor for a church and deals with alot of these things and I told her that I am sorry to tell you but you might actually be possesed by a spirit. Know I would like to point out that this girl is Muslim and I am Christian. She then went on to tell me how it all started when she was 17 not 25 that one day someone stole her mothers platinum watch and they wanted to know who did it, so they called a medium or whatever you want to call them, they then said that they need to put someone into a trance but it cant be her mother because of her age they felt she might not wake out of it,....they felt it was better for her daughter to be put into the trance.
She was then put in the trance and found herself back at the old house and waited in the bedroom as the day played out finally she saw it was her cousin that stole the watch and she was brought out of the trance. They confronted him and he agreed and returned the watch. Know they decide at a later stage I am not sure why to put her back into another trance but this time things went very wrong and she couldnt come out of it for 3 days. They had to get some head medium from Indonesia to help pull her out of this.
She then managed to come out of it and was fine but know she would always see what I would describe as imps very much lord of the rings golum would best describe this...she would see them as she drove to her house and standing outside her gate etc. She never told anyone this but she said it bothered her alot and she was worried that maybe she was just seeing things.
Anyway we know back to the present and I said to her look, I would like to pray for you, and she said I would really appreciate it whatever it takes to get rid of this,...I said to her there might be things you might not like about the prayer but I hope we can meet on mutual grounds in the fact that GOD IS ONE. She agreed and said she will come later that evening to see me for the prayer.
I went to take a nap and this is not a lie but as I was in there I noticed black image standing over me at my bed side, and it started to pour down with rain and lighting...I just started to say a prayer and it went away.
Anyway she came later that evening to see me and I NOTICED that she was a little different and I said are u ok, and she wasnt talking much and just said yes I am...I said did you fly anywhere this afternoon and she said yes I did, I went to Russia to give this man some black stones...Know let me tell you I have studied phsyco analysis and I know when someone is a bit tripped and this girl was far from mad.
So I said lets pray she then changed her tune and started to want to leave and everything else..I just said look earlier in the day you agreed to be prayed for why not know...and she gave me every excuse...I just said well to hell with this and I grabbed her hands and started to pray.
WARNING WHAT I AM GOING TO SAY NEXT IS NOT MEAN TO OFFEND ANY RELIGION OR RACE BUT IS AN ACTUAL ACCOUNT OF WHAT HAPPENED.
After a few minutes of praying I heard her say to me, you waisting your time..I looked up and as some of you might know I work in the optical field and noticed that her pupils had dilated (ever seen someone on "E" the pupil opens wide as hell) I said why am I waisting my time..and in her normal voice she answered you not going to get rid of me... I said who are you ....she laughed and said I am an angel, I went on to ask what kind of angel would do this to a person...and again she just laughed. At this point I noticed her mood changed again...she said his tellin me to jump..I said what.she said he wants me to jump out the window...we on the damn 23rd floor I said no way you not going to and I held her down and continued to pray.
I then finally asked her again who are you and what do you want with this girl and she answered and said my name is Ali and I use her to help people,, I said explain what help do you give and it refused. I then realised what I am dealing with is going beyond my level of help at the time.
So I got on my phone and rang my mother know I said earlier she is a pastor of her own church and helps and deals with this things on a daily basis. I got on the phone to her and explained what was happening. My mum then asked me to get some water and pray for it, which she did and asked me to sprinke some of it on her head (I am sure some of you guys will laugh but let me tell you this happened before my own eyes and believe you me was not a laughing matter)
The girl started to scream and shout...and my mum started to pray for her over the phone and commanded satan to leave this girl...we carried on like thi for nearly 30 mins and then my mum says take the phoen off speaker I want to tell you something.
I got off speaker and my mum said to me in Shona which is a language from Zimbabwe, that this girl has something on her heart and on the chest..... This is where it gets weird and for those that dont believe take a step back and re-read what happened next.
The phone was next to my ear, and my mum said sprinkle more water on hear and before I could...this is what happened the girl said ok ok ok wait il take it off. I kept quite and watched thi....she took her hand to her heart and as if grabbing something pulled it and threw it into the air.....she then proceeded to do the same to her chest.. NOTE SHE COULDNT HEAR MY MUM ON THE PHONE AND SHE SURELY DIDNT UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE WE SPOKE....but she fully knew WHAT MY MUM WAS SAYING ON THE PHONE THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY.
Then when I was looking at the girl she said ok I am going to leave know but let me tell you that when X comes back to this body she is going to be confused good luck...I said well il take my chances...and then as if someone was in the room she looked over my shoulder and said ohhh Hi its ok we dont need your help its ok...she was having a conversastion with someone behind me...and ther was nobody there.
She then said as if the spirit of the girl was standing next to me...X do u want to come back to this body...and if you do you know what will happen..are you sure...and she put her hand out as if to reach and she said ok I am leaving and this girl just collapsed in front of me..hard on to the floor.
I then tried to wake her up and she did and she was like what am I doing her why is my hair wet,,, as u guessed it she was confused. I then proceeded to thank my mum and my mum said just keep a close eye on her..I said ok and hung up.
Know I explained to her what was happenein and I said look, I believe we need to make a closure for you and I would like you to drink this holy water.. at this point I noticed she got upset again and said oh how could you do this to me etc and you know I am Muslim, I went on to explain that I did what I knew best at the time to help her.
Anyway she said thank you anyway but I KNEW that whatever was either in the room either came into her or that that spirit never really left. I then said to her ok look you can go home and il catch up with you later. She did and I then left for the UK the next day.
I went home very upset that I didnt get to help my friend but at the same time I didnt know how best to work this seeing as I left. So I called my mum and explained and she said we will continue to pray for her which we did.
I then felt it was for me to tell her mother what happened but she wouldnt let me...anyway I tried ringing her mother but couldn never get through and seeing as they work together it was tricky.
My mum then started fasting and praying for her and then just when my mums fast ended some strange happened.
She was in a meeting with her family and she fainted and was taken to the Hospital and rang me from there...and remember I was trying by all means to get hold of her family etc but she rang me...and she said hey can you please speak to my mother...
So I explained the story to her mum and she said ok il ring u later and talk to u about this. She eventually rang me later and spoke to me and said thank you for the help, but they would know like to try and help her there way..which I then told the mum your way was what got her in this state in the first place. Obviously that didnt go down to well but I was a bit upset at the time.
Anyway the took her to Singapore recently to have god knows what done and I have only heard from her once just saying yeah I am ok thanks dont worry about me.
Know guys I know this was a long story and I know it might ruffle feathers will believers and non believers and maybe some of the Muslim faith for what I did.
But having spoken to many people of different backgrounds I think we need to agree on one thing, there is evil out there and it will try and take hold of us..no matter who we are these spirits will use our Religion as a cover to make us look wrong against each other and possibly seek ALTERNATIVE METHODS IE MEDIUMS ETC. But I say God really is one, in all our Religions I think our main aim is to HELP ONE ANOTHER NO MATTER WHAT...I would never turn my back on a Muslim or Hindhu or Jew il try and help no matter what and where.
So what I say to you Chris is be carefull who you ask for help on this situation as there might be something alot bigger than you expected up front.
I think alot of you will know me that I say it as it is and I have no need to create and fabricate a story to make myself popular. If anyone feels they want any help from me or my mum just PM me and il surely do my best that goes out to you as well ChrisFirst.

Good god almighty! Please with all due respect have you ever thought that she may be on a substance? I mean im not gonna jinx any thing but I will believe in this spirit crap when I expiriance it. I am a christian. But there are no demons possesing people. People who are possesed/extorsists have either had distrubing pasts and are phycilogicaly challenged or on drugs. (commen for people who are on LCD) I mean come on guys, this thread is starting to crack me up, I bet most of the posts are pure BS and people plainly taking the p*ss. Sorry themarques or even Chrisfirst, but are you aware of any thing wrong with your gf's? (Please dont take this the wrong way, I dont mean this in offence or anything) Come on people, enough of the oman,extorsist/ring holywood horrors taking over are minds but lets talk sence

But any decent Medium will not start trying to put people in trances or such like. Real Mediums are not freaky people who cast away evil spirits or such like. Any Medium who claims to be able to do so is a fake. Simple as that.
Professional Mediums are people who assist people with their spiritual problems. Actually, most of a professional Medium's work involves helping people overcome grief after the loss of a loved one through talking and reassurance, much the same as a therapist would. The other most common 'job' is to visit suspected hauntings, trying to understand and / or communicate with the cause of the haunting by themselves. It's very rare that they suddenly start doing seances and such like nowadays, in fact many mediums actually refuse to do seances at all!
So, all I'm saying is that consulting a professional medium would be no more harmful than consulting a religious professional of some kind. Genuine Spiritualists are sadly still misunderstood today by a lot of people, it's real shame because they can help in certain circumstances.
