That sucks dude. Have you called Nokia Finland? They are quite nice and might be able to sort your problem from here.
As for the announcement, I do not think it is coming. I think it was a hoax. I looked on the Vodfone site:
www.vodafone.de and saw nothing.

I've written Nokia Finland a letter. I'm hoping to hear from them soon. Hopefully they're a lot better, friendlier, and courteous than Nokia UK.
As for the hoax - what a bu**mer! As I mentioned in a previous post - probably some sad geeks with nothing better to do with their lives

Gizmodo had it spot on. I still may get the iPhone though. I have a family member that retired from AT&T. I can get a "management" discount and a pay as you go account so I do not have to pay the 2 year subscription. Granted it will not have telephony access here in Europe but it will have wifi, and iPod functionality and the rest. Sort of like a better Nokia N800.
