Licensing the technology behind the CZ optics is not same as buying the optics from CZ. Licensing means you get technical specification and know how from CZ, but the actual design and manufacturing is made by someone else (in this case Nokia).

Its same situation with the Walkman and the CyberShot technologies SE is using, which are licensed from Sony.

And just who exactly are you to constantly attack other devices and members of the Forum, with incorrect facts and opinions at least when i am asked to quantify my opinions i can back them up. Whilst you just spout rubbish and can't back anything you say up with facts. If you didn't keep spouting such garbage myself and others wouldn't have to waste our time correcting you. I never say i hate any device just a little fantasy of yours to justify your actions is it. Come back once you have learnt how to debate properly as until then you will just continue to make your self look foolish and have to resort to insults as you have no genuine response.

Whenever there is a discussion it descends into the same pattern of animosity and calling each other's post rubbish etc etc.

It just comes across a bunch of people trying to score points of each other and ruins the whole discussion.

When was the last time anyone posted anything actually relating to the thread topic?


Anyway, the Z9 and the V9 both look great spec-wise, the styling still harks back to the RAZR ,something I think Moto should be leaving behind now but I think it is going to get worse for Moto before it gets better so I think SE taking the number three slot is no huge feat really.

Now if LG overtake Moto, that would really be something to write home about

but what are you doing here anyway? this is a SE forum, not nokia forum. i have never heard you say any positive thing about other devices than nokia.
now to the subject:
it is possible for SE to overtake the third place, because moto is falling, but the have quite a few new interesting products such as RAZR2 and Q 9h. these phones would help a bit, but im still sure about samsung and sony ericsson are going to pass by

what's that then a a compliment? besides which you are wrong just what are you basing this knowledge and view on and are you aware that with the last two firmware upgrades the Camera quality has been improved?

As to what i am doing here it's an SE Forum well up until a Year ago nearly all my devices had been Ericsson and then SE but that's not your call to make either. It appears you are yet another that believes we should all only praise SE no criticism allowed.

I suggest you go and look on the first page of this thread to start with as that just proves how biased and incorrect you really are. You may only praise SE as to praise anything else is blasphemy. But i praise any device if I find it to deserve it and not just because it's a Nokia like you would like to have others believe.

Also as stated earlier in this thread i really don't think that Motorola are going to be in big trouble at all i am actually quite sure that with the 5-6 UIQ3 devices plus the new very highly specified RAZR V9 they will claw back a lot of their lost market share. The V9 is a stunner of a device 2mm thinner than the original a real premium device with spec's to match and could easily be as big a hit as the original was. The Motorola UIQ3 Z8 already has better specs than it's SE cousins and i am sure the new devices will follow suit. But only time will show us for sure who gains and who falls in the last half of the Year but i wouldn't be so sure about Motorola being deposed just yet.

Carl Zeiss is pure marketing. These aren't actually Carl Zeiss produced lenses, and the fact of the matter is, Nokia needs the brand name to drive the image into the public to make sure that they appear like quality photographic tools. The public is easily fooled by brand names, as is seen by any product (iPod, etc.) in any market.

And what's the point of a sharp lens when you wash all the detail out with over-the-top noise reduction and overprocessing.

I can understand people saying that SE's technology is out of date compared to Nokia (QVGA, Sapporobaby), and Nokia's are quality devices, but saying that SE's technology is out of date compared to Moto is just a joke.
