I'm using the Garmin mobile XT on my TyTN II (using built in GPS) but I haven't seen a UIQ3 version available yet

here is their mobile products page

I think garmin has a generic symbian version of Xt which , correct me if I'm wrong, should work on S60 and UIQ 3.
I'll test it in the days to come and will report here.

@Remirez
Any update regarding Garmin? Have you had a chance to try it out?

About Auto Key Lock, I suggest you do the same I did, that is to create a shortcut to Key Lock next to the Tom Tom shortcut that you can easily click activate/deactivate without much hassle.

I have no idea where to buy it but here are links for the apps:

The MapSource City Navigator maps work fine with garmin although you will have to find a method of activating the maps.

I don't actually use it because my P1i is dead and I plan on getting a W960, I have seen an image(s) of it successfully running on W960, which the image is now gone.

ah right, so maybe its currently only available as part of the mobile 10 package where you also get a garmin bluetooth GPS

the garmin XT for windows mobile is a standalone solution which is preferable to purchase when you have a built in gps

I guess since P1 doesn't have a built in GPS this makes more sense now. thanks!

I got TT6 already loaded on my P1i when I bought it! - never used GPS software before - but it seems pretty good, warnings on speed cameras etc.

It came with a CPIT GP-27 receiver www.cpit.com/en/GP-27.html

Which seems to do the job - but does take quite a while to log in the position... perhaps it's where I put it or whatever :?

Hi,
there is an UIQ 3 version of Garmin Mobile 10.

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/s[....]&product=010-00579-00&&pID=420

BUT it only works with a Garmin GPS receiver.

I tried it, but TT6 is the best UIQ 3 GPS solution.

Regards
Marc

I have a wayfinder GPS receiver and it works great with Garmin.
