LOL ... I like this "darknoob" guy. He's funny and I love how he makes up his own phone stats/facts as he goes along! Great work buddy!

All this talk about WALKMAN is so great, it doesn't even have a dedicated DSP for goodness's sake! Some music phone eh?!

DSP, Touch sensitive Navi-wheel (iPod like, NICE!), Stereo speakers (Yup, 2 speakers!), 3.5mm Jack and 8GB to wrap it all up! THAT my friend what MUSIC oriented phone should be!

Oh I forgot, all that high-tech squeezed into the N81 don't mean a thing because it doesn't have the "WALKMAN" logo on it. Darn it, I guess it's crap now since it's missing the word "WALKMAN" that magically makes ANY phone into the greatest music phone regardless of hardware! ROFL!

this is all bollocks aint it,

just like cybershot, its just a name. it doesnt have any cybershot capabilities in relation to real cybershot cameras. and same as walkman. its just a name, dont mean its gonna be better then any other music phone. but some ppl seem 2 think just cos it says walkman on it, it must be the best music phone ever. in fact, even when it comes to proper mp3 players, ipod beats the sony walkmans everytime.

my k810 wasnt walkman, but the sound quality was better then my w910 WALKMAN phone.

and u made a good point in sayin 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers, ipod like buttons, DSP etc etc, walkman phones dont have ANY OF THIS.

this is what i have been saying, it gets boring, then what? And the software problems all this shaking business is going to cause, and after the whole P990, M600 and W950 fiasco i can see SE discontinuing firmware for these Accelerometer phones if they dont work out, i see K850 is already giving some weird probs.

it sure does, i wish Nokia kept this resolution on their other phones, i love the display of my N80 but soon il have to retire it when i get either my N81-8GB or N95-8GB.

iv been thinking about it, and i dnt at all need a s60 OS, i hve my laptop 4 that sort of stuff if i wanted 2 use it, which i really dnt, many ppl here hve been saying sometimi about a sound chip nd so on, how much will that improve the audio quality? my dad got a n73ME the other day and i compared it 2 my w800, 1st i tested it with the moded accustic's and it killed the n73, i put my w800 on about 5 bars which is about half full and it was the

the same as the n73, then i took the accustic drivers off and my w800 was just a lil bit louder than the n73, and the n73 didnt round 2 gud, it wasnt bad but the w800 is definately better, and i hated the n73s media player, the n73 was FAST, i was so shocked, i thought it wud be slow, but it wasn't, it was the same as the w800 maybe even faster. and the 2.4 inch screen is awesome...but that all i like about it...the big screen.

The N73 and N73-ME dont have audio chips bro @ Kyle, and make sure you test with Headphones.
Try find a N91 or 5700 to put your W800 against and you will hear how much better sound is with DSP chip. If you think N73 is fast then you must try N76, N95, N93i and 5700, they will blow you away man! N73 only got 220mhz processor, can you imagine how quick N81 is with 369mhz PLUS 8GB in it!

yeah but i expected better from it, cause there was such a fuss about it wen it came out, ill hve 2 find some1 that has 1 them, dam that wud be scary fast, im taking everything i said S60's being slow because they aint, the only thing that i wud like from a S60 is that movies wud play nicely on them, i knw with my w800 the video's and sound dnt go together with music videos, but maybe with the w910 will be better cause it plays mpeg, wmv nd .rm8

i actually thing the acceloremter is a bit of genius by SE, i really love it. havent had any problems yet with mine. used 2 annoy me having 2 go into menu 2 change orientation of pics manually.

and yea n95 8gb is my next phone without a doubt.

normal n95 was great but had problems, mainly not enough memory and battery life. it also didnt look anythin special, due to the colours.

n95 8gb is a diff story, not only does it look great but has more mem + battery life. its gonna take some beatin.

I recently found a review of the N81....Not flattering in the least. Hope this helps you make your decision

Personally, I'm on the fence between the N81 and the W960.

What kind of fence is that?
I should stop being so harsh on the N81...
