I won't be switching phones in a couple of years unless there's something groundbreaking coming out.
My phone has worked for almost a month now and never crashed or rebooted for whatever reason, apart from the first time I booted it, because it wanted to improve performance.

I've added about 4 games and 5 applications to it and it's never faltered once.
Now, I have some greivances with it, which I hope both UIQ and SE will take into consideration. As mentioned before, the GUI is inconsistent through and through. I can't really tell what button will end up where when starting applications or going through menus, and frankly, while not a bug, it's awful to navigate through it. This is something I'm wanting to talk to someone in the UIQ department about to ask them what the hell they were thinking when their own applications and the GUI in general is so cluttered and unorganized.

The address book is SLOW! I'm having an odd 300 contacts in it and navigating wither by wheel, scrolling or tapping, it's like driving a wheelbarrow through wet asphalt.

Same goes for the camera. But then again, in order for the cam to make ends meet, they'll have to spice it up a few notches more so I only use it for the one or two "I'm glad I had a camera"-shots. On a day to day basis I still go for my own regular digi.

The walkman works just as it should. It's been a bit of fiddling around to get grips on how to add tracks to playlists, remove tracks from playlists, fix the queued tunes and I'm still not quite there yet. I still find it a bit fiddly to work with and if you have any input/comments on how to add/remove/edit lists in a quickie I'll be a happy hamster if you'd like to mention them.
The GUI seems to be working fine apart from one small thing I've noticed. The back button shifts ever so slightly when backing out from the player (where you have your controls, time slider and cover art) to the manager (the list where you select what album to play and what artist to browse).
No biggie of course, but shouldn't they have seen that one themselves? It looks a slightly bit cheapish to me.

As you probably might have noticed I'm extremely picky when it comes to the GUI but for me, being able to get to the stuff I need FAST is key. And then not only through shortcuts, but through the general GUI that the phone is equipped with.

Ok, this might look like a rant into oblivion, but I assure it's not. As said, I won't be switching phones in quite a while, but what I DO want is a way of telling the guys over at UIQ and SE what I find lopsided so they at least know what could pose a problem.

Do any of you guys know where I should send comments/suggestions/bugs to SE and UIQ? I'd like to be able to "tear this phone apart" and send a nice report of snags and glitches so they could improve in the future.

I love my W960 though, it's light years from the phone I had before (Z600) but there's always room for improvement.

so in summary, these should be the things SE need to work on and work on fast!
1) C key to delete stuff
2) removing the annoying "+" sign that comes up as the first selection of any key when you sms (except key 1 and 2)
3) improve searching for contacts (should be something like dreamconnect)
4) tweak the system to improve the speed
5) make it easier to add new words
6) make it easier to cut and paste instead of having to go to More, Editing, etc
7) make the alarm RING even with the phone off or in silent mode

jeez....the list just keeps growing!

I wouldn't necessary see that as a bad thing. As I said, there's always room for improvement, but what I'd like to know is how this info could be summarized and sent to the right people over at SE/UIQ. It's not very likely they come visit Esato, even though it has proven to be a good place to look for discussions such as these and even if they were, they'd have to go through a whole lot of posts in order to get a feel of what should be done.

U can always choose more and text alternatives and Symbols to get most.
How do you change row in a sms, mail, doc useing just "T9"? U have to use the virtual keyboard or the stylus. Sucks.

If I tap # about 5 times I get to the "new row" symbol in SMS' with T9.

The '+' problem you're all mentioning, how do you reproduce it? How do I set up my phone to get the problems you're describing? I haven't noticed it but it might be that I'm not using the phone "right"....

[Edit]
Or did you mean how to actually step through the text, character by character or word by word? In that case, can't be done... :/

@BinLabin

your right new row and * is on "#"

but the + sign is on key 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 (press just once, i often just want to add a letter for some reason, and the + signs com up first and to my disapointment the letters are in the wrong order to, compared to my last t9 phone w900i,)

Example, (swedish) if i press key 2 i get Å À A B C 2 (and thats not near "the most used letter order" the right order is more like (dont remeber fully now) A C B Ä Å À 2" )
this is really anoying worked fine on my w900i

Here is my set up w960i (R9j005) Phone Language ENG, Input Language SWEDISH

and for some reason in this new phone of mine it sorts the ÅÄÖ letters like AAO?? never did on my last phone, "same languages"

any one having the same problems, swedish or non swedish user.

Not sure if it is classed as a bug or not but when you have replied to a text message your inbox does not display an arrow or anything to let you know you have replied.. Very annoying!
