It shouldn't matter which BT key you use as long as it communicates properly with your PC and P800 and you have an active internet connection on your PC. I use a Billionton USB adaptor.

I find the WebViewer very usefull for just browsing as it's about twice as fast as the P800's browser, and you don't have to scroll through pages horisontally.

Besides, it recognizes the Bluetooth connection without any hassle, whilst the P800 browser will always search for your GPRS settings first. So it's a bit more tricky to set up this bluetooth connection with the P800 than it is with the WebViewer. Therefor.

Waiting for Opera though....

@Raven.Opera says on its web site that UIQ has already Opera browser & that it will not be available for download. See http://www.opera.com/products/smartphone/products/uiq/ (quoted below, not easy 2 do with a P800...)BUT web browser of the P800 is made by Teleca/AUsystems..."Opera is the default browser forSymbian OS communicator devicesand is bundled with the operatingsystem. The user interface is developedby UIQ and is part of the generaldelivery to the licensees. ?The recently introduced Small-ScreenRendering technology is currentlybeing ported to the UIQ platform. Please contact us for more informationabout availability of this feature.Opera for UIQ is currently not availablefor download or purchase by end-users.If in the future a UIQ based deviceships without Opera we will reconsiderthis policy. Please contact us if you are interestedin our browser for UIQ or for availabilityof the UIQ feature and explain how youbelieve our companies can worktogether. Demo versions will be madeavailable to key partners.

Hello, first post here...

I've got a Nokia 7650 and the webviewer program, i've had a play at configuring it but can't get it to browse through my PC. Do I need to set anything up on my pc? I'm running XP.

Thanks!

Err,

Assuming you have a BT enabled PC you would need to set up ICS.

And that should be it... I think.

Chepest BT adapter I can find is 27 squid at http://www.dabs.com/products/prod-info3-info.asp?&m=y&quicklinx=24ZV

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

This is how you do it on the 7650:

Tools, Settings, Connection, Access Points, Options, New Access Point, Use default settings.

Connection name: Bluetooth DSL
Date bearer: GPRS
Access point name: none
User name: None
Prompt password: No
Password: None (default)
Authentication: Secure
Gateway IP address: 0.0.0.0

Save this and connect your 7650 to the Bluetooth COM-Port.
The mRouter Tray-Icon should show now that the device is successfully connected.

Next open the program of your choice (WebViewer) an select "Bluetooth DSL" as default connection - that's it!

If you still get connected to GPRS, try changing your ACCESS POINT NAME.

Cheers

You can just download the trial version over and over again. That is if you don't wanna purchace it, then you'll get a register-code. I have this code, but for some reason it doesn't work anymore when I try to register....
