This is WM 6.1 Pro right? Is X1 6.1 pro aswell or just 6.1? I think this coupled with the bad news on X1 makes for interesting thinking for those wanting to buy the X1.

There is no such thing as "just" 6.1. There is either Standard (non-touch) or Pro (touch).
