I finally got one of these beauty's!

has REALLy gotta step up their
Q&A and smartphone division because Nokia really shows on the E66 & E71 that they REALLY know what they're doing. The long name of "blokia" no longer stands.
Q&A? Maybe you meant R&D?
I was going to buy one of these myself but changed my mind:
- Only Arabic keyboard available on the E71s on sale here in Oman, with Arabic in white and QWERTY in a weaker blue color, making the keyboard look cluttered.
-
Dust inside the display
-
Camera stops working and requires a trip to a Nokia service centre.
So I bought
something even nicer...

@Prom1
I just bought the E71 as well. I'm so thrilled with it, coming from the TyTn II its a breath of fresh air

(Size and form factor

). THe email client leave much to be desired though, its 2 days old and already a restart, but I'm assuming its because of some app I installed. BUT the keypad is a joy to use. Never thought I'd say this about Nokia or S60, but this phone is good

. May not be break through where tech is concerned but the overall package is awesome

. If they just get rid of the purple photos, its be perfect till I get the next WM7 Snapdragon phone next year lol.
A bit of icing on the the cake, I bought coreplayer for the E71(cant live without it after using it on the TyTn II). And surprisingly a VGA @ 25fps video played at 95% benchmark, the same video played at 75-82% benchmark on the TyTn II. Seems its not too shabby at multimedia as well

.

Can I acces my hotmail emails without having to connect to the internet and check everytime?
Basically I get alerted automatically when I get a new email.
Thanks.

@Merc Man
You need to download Seven Beta for free that will do all your E-Mail accounts for you and just integrates with the built in app. I have used it with all my S60 devices for my MSN.com and Yahoo E-Mail accounts and gives proper real time push E-Mail for free. It's one of the few ways of getting MSN or Hotmail which is Web based delivered to your device and the only free way i know of.

choose beta program sign up and download the version for your phone.
Marc had been raving about the support for a while, i never thought it could be that good.
But i've also downloaded the program and i must admit it is a great program, so nice and easy to use no setting up just enter your email and password. And the best thing is, as Marc said it is real push email.
Word of warning, if you have a Gmail account use your built in client. For some reason there is a problem with the gmail connection and essentially the program keeps dropping the connection and re-connecting, dropping and re-connecting etc... This results in a huge battery drain.
Other than that i use mine for MSN only and not a problem since i started.

Downloaded it, keep getting 'error 188' when it tries to sign in.
Tried it with WLAN and also with the phone connected to the internet.
Any idea, what the next step is?

@Merc Man
Never had any problems with it but i would suggest removing it and reinstalling it.

Nice review dude! I want to write one up myself but I'll have a different angle ... one from my wife which is TOTALLY new to ANY smartphone let alone S60 and THIS will have some SERIOUS info & insight that Nokia can take to heart

Another 2wks away as I'm trying to resolve WOM world and customs issues.
