Not sure if this is correct but I have been told by a friend in Finland that the 5800 is available there at euros 999.99. Not quite the sub euros 300 SIM FREE as proclaimed by some sites!

This phone is aimed directly at the iPhone so I expect pricing to be similar, my friend in Nokia confirmed it should eventually be available at the price they quoted. As I understand those being touted around at $900 are just ppre order units you cannot actually get them now.

Mate that was over 2 weeks ago. You can buy one for circa $550 right now off
fleabay. Besides, retail units of the iPhone routinely go for $750, so the 5800 actually undercuts its so called rival.
