It might be possible that in the future it could be cross-flashed to W995 since the db3210 platform is the same, the camera function would be lost, though.

Does anyone know an online shop where you can get a black W715 (unbranded version prefered but branded is ok too)? I just have no clue ... in germany you only get the silver one.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

yeah, W995 seems a bit different, both camera and screen are different.

it's the G705 and W715 which are the same guts inside; just different firmware and housing.. perhaps analogous to K750 and W800.

Sony Ericsson and Vodafone launch online London guide

Sony Ericsson and Vodafone have partnered to launch an online guide to London downloadable to a phone.

‘The inside Tracks’ provides customised maps and audio which, is downloadable to the phone and uses assisted GPS functions to guide you around London.

The initiative will be launched with the Sony Ericsson W715 and will use Vodafone’s navigation system ‘find and go’.

Sony Ericsson’s marketing director, Dave Hilton said: 'It was important that this collaboration between Vodafone, Sony Ericsson and the three talented young musicians enabled us to communicate the reality of ‘Find and Go’ to consumers, illustrating the feature in an engaging way.'

Content will be downloadable from 16 April. Ready made London guides will be on hand from singer songwriters; Amy Studt, Zarif and Eliza Doolittle who will demonstrate their favourite places to go in London.

Don't know about the CPU, but everything including the interface runs nice and smooth.

Just got mine today. at box it says 4GB, but insert the phone it's 8GB.

Slide feels much better than C905.

I must say I'm really happy with my second w705(branded one, flashed now).Slider is perfect , same weel maufacturing as the first one ...but black and silver. The thing is it goes so slow...and I flash it through davinci last week.I'm waiting foir my liberation code.
But it is a little wonder.
Hope to update it again soon.

Running the risk of being accused of self-promotion, here's a link to a review I've written about the phone. You know, in case anyone wants a more detailed opinion about it.
