i was certain i wanted the renoir until the mention of VOIP online calls..
(i.e. FRINGS)

since RENOIR supports only j2me applications (am i right?) then there will never be a program for this.. right?

Touch phones with Symbian OS? Well...only the 5800 comes to mind, if you're talking about newer phones. Idou isn't released yet and we still don't know how good (or bad) it is. I think you should also consider the Arena or the Viewty Smart, both from LG. If you are more of a slider person then INNOV8. Mind you, none of these have a xenon flash unless you don't think you really need it.

If your thinking of the C902 I wouldn't bother and just buy the Nokia N82, like i said XENON flash, common sense should tell you THAT'S what you want if your serious about your mobile being your only camera.

Here's a video that a mobile phone review guy made just to prove the point of the difference Xenon flash makes, the flash part is about a third of the way in:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T7EtnX2dmg

He mentions a Samsung phone and the 6220c Nokia so you could add them to your list too?

apolloar, from my research:

Not only does the N82 have have Xenon, it also has better vidoe recording capabilities.

As for the Viewty, it does not have GPS, and a GPS is a MUST for me in chosing my phone!

will look at the 5800 later cheers guys!

to be really honest i think a Renoir would fit you best. i reckon you want to use Internet a lot because of your wlan thoughts (so go for a Renoir then)

(think gps/wlan "fits" best with a really big screen....
Cybershot is mainly a Camera cellphone.

edit...or do what i does (when i use my Car)...
ImageandvideohostingbyTinyPic
(works great).. it find connection faster then my friends C905)
(the only drawback is that is not integrate.....he he)

Yes that's right about the N82, I'm no Nokia fan but I do know they are better at video, I also can't believe nokia haven't put a Xenon in the N97?

I have an even smaller GPS on my keyring works blindingly fast too!

star, if you're thinking about touchscreen phones
Nokia 5800 offers almost the same app varyity as n82, it only has worse camera for fotos, though videos are good.
There are SE g series - touch screen symbian phones, with low video quality i guess. These are not s60, but are UIQ, it's dead already, and UIQ has less apps than s60.

G900 is a perfect example of a powerful smartphone inside behaving like a normal phone. though its UI platform ceased to exist after SF is announced, it's the best SE Symbian smartphone you can get from now, just the slow interface and average photo and video quality are your main issues.

for your list, i'll definitely recommend an N82 (BLACK)
