> Sony Ericsson New Brand Message: make.believe

I just wanted to say that this is total propaganda, the fact that SE can actually make their customers believe in SE and they somehow think that changing their branding but keeping the poor build quality of their products the same is going to make some massive difference. Anyway I really don't like their new website if I'm honest I think it's awfully laid out, I much preferred their old layout and always liked how they had a simple web page for each of their phones to date. Now I'm perfectly happy with change, I agree that a company needs to get a new look every once in a while, but I think this is pointless. What advantages does this new site have for the user? No more information is added, just moved about. I'm torn with the SE logo changing colour, I'm not sure with this it's an interesting idea to spice up the logo but on the other hand I think green is the best and any other colour used makes it look stupid. Maybe this is just due to the fact that I'm used to their original logo I don't know. Lastly does this mean the end to the "I
music" etc.? I saw an ad for the Anio today and it didn't have it
, I'm sorry but that was awesome advertising which I loved SE for. Shame,
I think that: make.believe, make cheap products, believe in decent customer care.
thanks

Still waiting for Rachel... X3 which apparently looks like it's delayed until 2010!
How can it be delayed when we don't even have the orignal release date?
The original release date was supposed sometime in Fall, 2009, but was pushed back due to the release of the X2 phone.
It is now estimated to be released sometime in Q1, 2010!

the consumer set the trend, the phone maker set the branding, marketing and tagline inline with the consumer aspirations...make.believe

Sony stole the 'Sony Make Believe' tagline from me. I offered it to their advertising dept, and they sat on it for 3 years and then wheeled it out as their global tagline!!! I want paying! I am a teacher in the UK and a private entrepeneur and I will keep embarrassing them on forums like these until they pay me the £100 I asked for the tagline. I am actually a teacher, and I will pay the £100 into my school funds when Sony have decided to own up to their theft.
