( 1.) To be known as Filipino - Under the old Charter, Congress was directed "to take steps towards the development and adoption of a common national language based on the of the existing national native languages." Under the new Constitution, the Batasang Pambansa is again directed to "take steps towards the development and formal adoption of a common national language to be known as Filipino" (Sec. 3[2].) This should not be construed as implied rejection of the Tagalog-based "Pilipino," evolved by the Institute of National Language, as our existing national language.

well, it's the latest constitution of the corrupted Republic of Philippines (1987).. peace on earth..
as i said earlier, noong 1987 lamang ginamit ang salitang Filipino..
pagmasdan:
1937 = tagalog (quezon/1935 constitution)
1973 =
pilipino (marcos/1973 constitution)
1986 =
filipino (aquino/1987 constitution)
