Here's my entry for this month.

I'm considering the Vignette filter as "altered image" so it's a no go for the shootout, but if you want you can find it in the
Gallery, I kinda like it
Best of luck for everyone!

Thanks for everyone who's commented. I was pretty upset to see one of the photos got only two votes, and the other didn't get any. They're not the best shots out there, but some effort has been put into them and, at least to my belief, they're not half that bad.
This happens lately with all my photos, i get 2 votes tops, and it's been demotivating more and more. I'm considering putting down the phone and enjoying the scenery without taking pictures of it.
Plus, I'm seeing a lot of spite from some users, too much personal stuff going on.
My apologies for being off topic.
Best of luck on the last day to submit your photos.

Not entered for a couple months but here goes.
The story is with the photo:
About 130 years ago, in Wako Texas, a soda shop clerk (they used to have have shops with racks of flavours and mix them to customer's taste with soda water to order) and a physicians daughter fell in love. The physician didn't approve of his daughter being with a lowly soda shaker but being a young couple they paid no attention to him and ran away together. Knowing only how to shake and mix soda flavours and that he needed to support himself and his young partner, he started a company producing the best selling mix of fruit flavours from his old workplace. In respect to his father-in-law (or perhaps it was a middle finger) the drink was named after him... Dr. Pepper.

Did you know: the Dr Pepper brand is older than Coca-Cola.
