Are you using a 3G sim and is packet data and / or data roaming switched on?

Yes, I'm using a 3g sim and packet data is enabled(If that's the same as "Data enabled" on mobile network settings). The sim is totally fine because before I changed my phone, the 3g, Edge, hsdpa icons can be seen on my galaxy ace.

I just want to know if this is a hardware defect because this is my last day to replace the unit if it is.

I'm running on an old firmware 6.0.B.1.564
As said before, the signal is very weak compared to other phones(It can't detect Edge, 3g, or Hsdpa signals; it did detect hsdpa once but not again as of this writing)

The newer firmware as what other users have said is experiencing total mobile disconnections.

Please help me.

@bluechip, wouldn't that delete user data?
Also, the seller where I bought my phone gave me a new unit(red) but I gave it back again as the problem of not detecting edge, 3g and hsdpa is still there. They are both running on the same firmware.

Also, in the status(settings) Mobile network state: disconnected

Is that normal even if I already enabled data on the settings?

ofcourse it'll delete settings, but you can reconfigure it..
But its still worth trying though...

I found someone on the net who also lives on my country who just bought a Sola. His Sola is working fine and I found out that his Sola is running on a newer firmware(not the latest though) and I'll try to update mine with that firmware. The only problem is, the firmware showing on my phone is newer.

My firmware build number is :6.0.B.1.564
His Firmware build number is :6.0.B.1.576(working)
The system update on my phone is :6.0.B.3.162

I want to know how to update my sola on 6.0.B.1.576(working) instead of 6.0.B.3.162
