mode - it was only $12 for me! $2 for shipping..

i previously asked if you were in the US, but obviously you're not based on your subway answer ha. I sure hope you like the illumishield since it sounds like you bought it based on my mini review of it. i'll feel bad if you don't like it. but i'm confident you will!

I know this isn't directly about the Xperia Z1 but if you head over to my Flickr page I have just taken some shots with my QX10 SmartLens this is the first time I have had a chance to use it so I don't quiet know what are the best settings. All photos were taken in Superior auto mainly in 13MP resolution however there are a few a 18MP I have also taken the same shot but using the 10x optical zoom. There are 20 photos in total Let me know what you guys think.

some pics i took while at the amusement park on a rainy day as you can see, it was a cloudy/rainy day so lighting wasn't all that great. my friends both had galaxy S4s and they were amazed at the photos I was taking compared to what they were doing. The 3rd photo of the coaster map, we took from the same spot, but in my friend's photo, you couldn't really read the map legend. One friend was .."wow, your picture is so clear" and my other friend is like "yea.. cause it's a sony" made me PROUD

btw if you're curious, the Intimidator 305 is an AMAZING roller coaster.

i think these are all 20mp manual

I don't see how someone can complain after seeing those pics. They are great, but I'm absolutely not a specialist, just a consumer.

Nice pics xperiajunkie - did you get on the ground for those shots?

as i've said in this and other threads, it just takes time to get used to the Z1 camera. Superior auto does a great job in normal daylight conditions, but if the lighting is a lil funky, it simply isn't very "superior" in my experience.

someone who takes the time to play with the camera and make note of its strengths and weaknesses can really pull out the potential. admittedly, i am still very much exploring all that the Z1 can do and i know that my photos will get better as time goes on.

@Moogoo I got as low as I could withoutlying on the ground, tried to get a different POV for the shot and you are spot on when you say people just need to figure out the Z1 and play about with it before you know what's best to take shots. I am so impressed with my Z1 and how much better photos it can take when I first got it due to just fiddling about stuff I am now taking photos as almost everything.
