They still have one of the best ANC for true wireless and it's sound quality is on par (if not better) than competitors. Besides, the current price makes them much more compelling.
But I agree, almost 18 months so we should be seeing some leaks about XM4 soon - they upgrade their top-tier headphones roughly every 24 months.
They should add ip68 and removable fins for a better fit.

Nobody said an iPhone 11 case can be used on a 12, but a 7 and 8 can be used on SE 2020.
Regardless of cpu, the 10.2 2019 and 10.2 2020 can use the same cases.
By your logic every single manufacturer does changes to sell more accessories

It is too early though for a leak like this. If this is a real compact, maybe Sony wanted to stop those who are switching from XZ compacts to i12m.
